The South was to be Ted Cruz’s springboard to the nomination, his firewall in case the first few contests didn’t quite finish off the competition.
After a string of third-place finishes, the boasts are gone. The optimism seems forced. Cruz is now engaged in a long slog, overshadowed by Donald Trump and Marco Rubio and heading into Super Tuesday with dim prospects for retaking control of the Republican presidential race.

My point is, if you walk into a room that is 100% Democrat, do you moan about no chance in the state or do you lay out your policies honestly in a manner a Democrat could sign on to?
I just don’t think you make up any ground going excuse/insult game.
Ted didn’t do it, so I can’t talk about it being his mistake in Texas, but I would discourage folks from pointing out the obvious, even if it is true.
Keep your hand out and don’t slap even one coming your way.
Crossover among these folks isn’t likely, but they may hear something they can cling to. Who knows.

Sad to see that Trump is ushering in a new immorality among his supporters based on making up wild rumors and innuendo against people you disagree with that have no basis in reality.
