I don’t see how Rubio wins FL on March 15. If he loses there, then the GOPe will dust off Mitt and throw him in the race. Their only hope is a brokered convention, which they can manipulate to get the candidate they want. Maybe Jeb emerges as the compromise candidate. LOL.

“Cruz actually has a better case for staying in then Rubio. Cruz will probably win TX and AR on Tuesday.”

Very true, but ever since the last debate, the media has virtually boycotted Cruz’ campaign. I’m glad he’s going on all these Sunday morning shows.

Cruz was great with Stephie and on Face the Nation. Very reasoned and Presidential. Chris Wallace’s mission in life is to hurt Cruz.

All the power of voting is, is the ability to choose between masters. Freedom is something else entirely.

Amen. Sad that some "Conservative" like Erick Erickson, think using the Government to impose their social dogmas is a "Good idea" No LEAVE us alone is a good idea.

If Rubio showed up today, the story would have been all about his adolescent retorts to Trump's adolescent jabs. Rubio already has a "gravitas," "presidential" deficit, and the last he needs is attention to recent shenanigans.

Over the next couple weeks, Rubio can put out more substantive defenses against whatever substantive accusations surface, as well as policy positions. He will need to show up on the Sunday shows two weeks from now, and preferably, next week too. I think Cruz will be severely damaged goods by then, with maybe a weak win in Texas, and being 3rd in delegate accumulation (and he'll always have Iowa) overall bringing serious pressure to drop out in order to stop Trump.

Wallace interrupts more, and is clearly more biased against Cruz than any other candidate.

I can belive that. Like most Media Liberals Social Conservatives are the people Wallace hates most.

Did Marco’s handlers pin his ears back on FNS to make them less prominent?

It is amazing how everyone considers themselves spokesmen for Conservatives. Who cares about the label, who is going to seal the border and fight DC? That is Conservative this election.

Romney released his returns in September 2012 after he had the nomination.

I agree there is no up side to releasing the returns, which would be many thousands of pages. It would be used as ammunition against him regardless of whether he released them or not. Trump could say to Hillary, I will release my tax returns if you release the transcripts of your speeches to Goldman Sachs. Or touch on sealed documents involving some of the other Clinton scandals.

LOL...and, MarcoSoft likely had extra makeup applied to his ears...to cover the beet red color they turn when he’s lying - which is always.

“Rubio comes across as the dweeb with short man’s syndrome.”

I’ve worked with some of these guys over the years and I’ve always referred to them as having Napoleon’s complex.

I’m vertically challenged but these dudes think they are smarter than and above everyone else. One consultant, after being totally nasty to me, even stole all of my ideas and put them in a brief to the director. Luckily, one of my colleagues overheard a lot of it and told the director. The consultant was told bye bye.

-- I don't see how Rubio wins FL on March 15. If he loses there, then the GOPe will dust off Mitt and throw him in the race. --

They are entertaining that, so goes the rumor mill, but I doubt they'd do it. The scheme has no chance of succeeding. Romney can file for primaries in California and New Jersey, the Dakotas. Sure, Romney in sends a signal that the GOPe hates Trump, but everybody already knows that.

On further thought, I'm going to reverse myself. It does make sense to have Romney "in," as it would justify gaming the convention rules the week before the convention convenes. If Romney isn't making some kind of effort and showing in advance of July, there is no pretext for gaming the convention rules.

The problem for Cruz is that his power base is in the South. Once the campaign heads north and west, Cruz is in big trouble.

I remembered you got married to one of our favorite FReepers a few years back, but didn’t know where you lived.

Newt was just on Maria’s show and thought that Rubio may take MN. If he loses in all states, I would be happy. Tuesday is going to be a long day and night.

I am a regular watcher of the Sunday morning political talk-shows. I switch channels often to get the most from each show that I can.

What I saw this morning was non-stop on every show, "How Do We Get Rid Of Trump?" Not how does Rubio or Cruz catch him but overtly trying to get rid of the leading Republican nominee.

This is all the more reason I am voting for Trump. If the Republican establishment, if the mass media, if the inside Washington politicians are all against Trump, then I know I have picked the right guy.

Time to send a message to Washington that we've had enough of their insider, gravy-train crap that enhances them but destroys the electorate.
