Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio both release their tax returns...
The Daily Mail ^ | February 28, 2016 | Kalhan Rosenblatt

Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio have released their tax return information while both attacking Donald Trump, who refuses to release his.

On Saturday the Florida senator and the Texas senator made public up to fiver years previous tax information hoping to shame Trump into letting voters see his, too.

Rubio released summaries of five tax years Saturday and Cruz later released summaries of four years, from 2011 to 2014, according to NBC News.

Cruz accused Donald Trump of hiding his tax returns from voters during Sunday's broadcast of 'Face The Nation'.

Cruz said Trump could be hiding as many as five years-worth of returns.

'Trump said in the debate...'Gosh, I'm being audited, for two years'. Then he said 'three years'.

Then he said 'maybe five years'. Listen, if there's a problem in his taxes, the voters have a right to know,'

'Because come September, October, the general election, folks in the media are going to make a hayday about any problems in his taxes.

'And I think primary voters have a right to know,' Cruz said during the broadcast.

A polite and well written response. My point is and has been continuously that for those wishing to argue the original intent that the 1790 law is the only written document by which we have guidance as to the original intent of the founders. You need not search for any other I have done so there is none. That people will from time to time quote. Philosophers and other laws from other nations and other time is irrelevant has any legal statute written by the founders far and away show the intent. Dictated with Google Voice

Perhaps CW should submit his/her tax returns so we know which campaign is paying her. Lol

“The country really does not know who Cruz was prior to the US senate run “

Anyone who hasn’t either been asleep for the last three years or hasn’t turned off their brains to new input knows who Cruz was. Your position is just willful ignorance.

Thank you.

I do agree that the 1790 law does intend to define "natural born" and, although it was repealed, it does give insight into what the founders intended. I have no dog in the hunt, but am concerned that the intent is being twisted to promote an agenda or candidate.

Whether right or wrong, I believe that both parents must be citizens, but this eliminates Cruz and Rubio and their supporters will not allow for it; hence the tortured wordplay.

Best Regards,

Sorry, I was way in the back so wasn't close enough to ask anything. LOL But if I had asked him anything, it wouldn't have been something so childish.

Trust me the people I work for spent a bundle finding out everything they could including medical, a very thorough investigation. It’s like a vetting for important office, which is important when you hire people into positions of trust. You see we’re not hiring a dog catcher. Trump wants to be president. Now, he’s never held elected office so it’s all alien to him. But it’s important that all candidates are vetted; we can see the results of not vetting in the last guy elected.

So? I have no idea why this is made a big deal of. I don’t care if none of them ever release their taxes. I assume if they were underhanded then eventually the IRS will get them, otherwise it’s none of my business.

Right on.

A summary is not a return.

If you think it is, just try it with the IRS.

Your employer spent money to see your tax returns? I think not.

Not to attempt to torture or wordplay, there are no collective rights no right of a citizen is dependent on another citizen.

What are you 12? Is this your first Presidential election you paid any attention to! You find it incredulous that a candidate could support another candidate after dropping out because of some minor negative thing that was said? Uhhh, it happens ALL the time. In fact, the previous opponents are often picked for the VP slot. Bush 1 famously called Reagan’s tax cut plan “VOODOO ECONOMICS” when they were opponents. I’m sure Reagan had retorts to criticize Bush, and yet, Bush was tapped to be VP. You need to either stop being so naïve, or quit pretending to be. It’s not a good look.

It takes some special nerve for Ted to keep demanding ALL of Trump’s returns, when he won’t do it! He was a day later than he promised and then only realeased a summary, but is all over TV today pissing and moaning about Trump who never promised the American people this in the first place...but TED DID. HE LIED.

[snip] Republican presidential candidate Sen. Ted Cruz released portions of his tax returns on Saturday — a day later than promised — and continued hammering rival Donald Trump for not disclosing his own IRS payments.

For 2011 to 2014, Cruz’s campaign released two pages of tax returns for each year. The documents, like those released earlier Saturday by fellow GOP contender Sen. Marco Rubio — don’t reveal many details like which tax breaks he claimed or how much he gave to charity.

SORRY about the source...the ‘conservative’ media won’t report that it was only a summary by Ted that shows us nothing.

For decades, it has been obvious that the RNC/’conservative’ media uses the Christian right just like the Left uses Blacks, latinos & Gays.

Nice straw man argument...attempting to have me take the bait by basically comparing Cruz to Obama...but, bzzzzzzt, No sale!

I know that trumpeters have great difficulty trying to keep up, but please try. The conversation was about trump and his shortcomings. It was not about Cruz, now was it?

How about you try some intellectual honesty, stick to the subject at hand and give me a dissertation about why I’m wrong and cite to me all of trumps amazing conservative credentials? Oh yeah...because you can’t...he doesn’t have any.

When did I EVER say Trump has amazing conservative credentials? You are making up your own delusion and answering yourself ... then accusing me of constructing a strawman.

Your man Cruz is pawning himself off as a conservative Christian man ...

His tax returns show he is a phony Christian ... his antics show him to be a slimy fraud ... his alliance with Rubio shows his pedigree. Another politician ... another lawyer ... another fake conservative that believes he is the second reincarnation of Reagan and aligns himself with the establishment. In the words of that great philosopher Steven Tyler ... "Same old song and dance my friend ... "

Nevertheless, if he is the nominee I will vote for him while plugging my nose ... I am used to that after the last 6 election cycles. So when Trump is the nominee ... you go ahead and stay home so you can say you were able to maintain your conservative purity ... even though you probably voted for the establishment candidate for the last 25 years like me.

Stop illegal immigration (build the wall)
Stop Muslim influx into the country
Lower taxes

Apparently those items don't register on your conservative meter ... sounds pretty conservative to me.

You’re assuming, and that’s what it is, given his long history that would speak otherwise, that HE will actually do any of those. I believe you are assuming erroneously.
