“People have always wanted to believe in the man on the white horse and they have always been disappointed and things have always ended worse for them than before.”

Then you go ask your buddies at the RNC would they STEADFASTLY REFUSE to run a candidate with Trump’s positions.

So sorry, they had their chance, WAY TOO MANY CHANCES, actually.

Now it’s our turn.

I don’t have any buddies at the RNC and I think that there were some good candidates coming up who weren’t going to be RNC favorites but were young, aware and had real plans - until an old rich guy decided that the next fun thing would be to buy himself the candidacy. Then, media savvy as he is from his trash tv days, he sorted around until he got a “position” - no matter how little grounded in fact or real possibility - that resonated.

What people here don’t seem to understand is that he’s part of the protected class, he was born into it and he has never been anywhere else. I remember his comment that going to his exclusive military prep school was like serving in the armed forces! I was surprised veterans didn’t rise up as a group to kick his posterior.

It’s like Obama pretending to have been an American black who grew up in the ghetto and really knows how it was - while he’s half white and was brought up in a prosperous white family and brought up mostly abroad. But blacks bought the image, and Obama has been having a really cool time in the White House ever since, hanging out with black mega-millionaire celebrities and playing golf and making the occasional arrogant statement. Meanwhile, blacks have done nothing but get worse off.
