Marco Rubio Teases Brokered Convention: After First Round, Delegates Vote For Whoever They Want
Breitbart ^ | February 26, 2016 | CHARLIE SPIERING

Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL)79% is again floating the possibility that Donald Trump, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX)97% , or he himself might fail to earn the necessary 1,236 delegates required to win the Republican presidential nomination.

That would mean taking the fight to a brokered convention.

During an interview on CBS "This Morning," Rubio was questioned about a CNN report that revealed Rubio's campaign manager had prepared donors in New York for the possibility.

"If you look at the way it's going now, no one may have that number of delegates and that in and of itself would trigger a convention in which after the first round, delegates are free to vote for whoever they want," Rubio said.

Cruz and Rubio both know that neither of them has a shot at overtaking Trump in the primaries. Their only hope is to stay in and garner enough first round delegates to deny Trump a first round majority. They are working with RNC and big money donors to try to arrange this.

If they succeed then all bets are off and they will arrange to deliver the nomination to one of the challengers. It will destroy whatever vestiges of credibility the party has left, but they don't care about that anyway.

Take 38% away from all GOP races and GOP will become the Whig party.

GOP is the party of Stupid but not that stupid.

The exit questions show 97% of Trump Supporters vote for Trump or stay home.

Trick or Treat

Exactly, Cruz knows it over, and he has joined the Cheap Labor Express, just as a lot of us knew he would.

Cruz is at 10% and 12% in the two most recent FL polls. Nobody polling 10% in a FL GOP primary is ever going to win the general. Cruz’s campaign died in SC and we are just waiting for the offical death certificate.

I’m this close to ignoring Cruzers now because the real competition now is Rubio. Hopefully, the sane among them will join the Trump Train and help us defeat the GOPe.

I’ve got to give the poor little Rube credit. When the going gets tough, he finds some really exotic stuff to mix with his underwear before he smokes it.

Marco Rubio, and Cruz will both be long gone before the convention. Neither one will last beyond March 15.

Rubio’s number one problem is the fact that he betrayed all he ever met:

He betrayed his friend, Jeb Bush, who supported him morally and sent him a check even, in his FL congressional and senatorial, state and federal endeavors.

He betrayed the TEA party, who worked avidly to make him Senator of FL, instantly, as soon as he saw the big columns in DC.

He betrayed legal Americans and America with his Gang of Eight.

He still betrays the two, above, when he speaks in Spanish to Jorge Ramos and tells 180 degrees different on amnesty, saying in Spanish that he’ll “keep president Obama’s amnesty deal”, but tells the viewers in English that he wouldn’t.

He betrayed all the FL residents by being absent from DC and not performing his senatorial duties, in pursuit of yet another position.

He never has staying power for more than a few months, after he wins any position.

The media all call him an “establishment insider candidate.” He ran for the senate as an outsider, in the TEA party, and was a total deceiver as soon as he hit DC.

He is, in simple words, Benedicto Arnold to all he ever met, depending on what his incredible political ambitions are.

His second biggest problem is inexperience in the real world.

He has never produced or built anything. He was a lawyer for a very brief time. Other than that he has never even run a taco stand.

Both Cruz and Rubio are in the process of committing permanent political suicide. Down the road, Cruz might have had a future in a conservative Republican party if he cleaned up his act, honesty and lost the Elmer Gantry fake oratory.

Rubio is just plain oily and deserves no consideration for any future political position in the Republican party. Living in Florida, I will never vote for Rubio for any position in this state ever. I know his next goal is Florida governor. I will campaign my butt off for Adam Putnam who might be a future presidential candidate. He's squeaky clean and definitely a conservative. Go to hell, Rubio.
