First, I don't share your opinion that Cruz is the only qualified candidate. Of the candidates still in the race, Rubio is probably the least qualified. Even Carson has executive experience as the former Director of Pediatric Neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital for almost 20 years.
Second, regarding "Have we not been through this nonsense in the past half dozen presidential elections," this election is not like any of the past elections. This election is like a bloodless coup d'etat. Past elections had our candidates pre-selected for us by behind-the-scenes powerbrokers, and then those candidates betrayed the voters by appealing to foreign interests with taxpayer giveaways while tuning their backs on those who elected them.
You can tell this year that the power-brokers are running scared as the people reassert themselves. Ask yourself this simple question: When in the last 24 years have you seen a party try to take out its own runaway frontrunner? The answer to that should tell you that this election is different. Why are the outsiders leading? The answer is that the people are looking for new qualifications, because the old ones don't work for us anymore.

Would you have us to believe that running a pediatric clinic is equivalent to guiding the most powerful nation on Earth?
I find your arguments to be mostly without substance.
Spinning the wheel and hoping that it lands on an acceptable peg does not equate to a “bloodless coup.”
