I know from the comments section many people have discussed how bizarre the recent ravings of Rush Limbaugh have become. However, I had not spent time listening to them, until this happened.
As far as I can tell this was actually broadcast by Rush Limbaugh yesterday. To say he’s contracted a viral strain of election cycle cognitive dissonance would be a severe understatement. Listen to this logic:
I know from the comments section many people have discussed how bizarre the recent ravings of Rush Limbaugh have become. However, I had not spent time listening to them, until this happened.
As far as I can tell this was actually broadcast by Rush Limbaugh yesterday. To say he’s contracted a viral strain of election cycle cognitive dissonance would be a severe understatement. Listen to this logic:
If Ted Cruz wants to win he’s got to focus exclusively on attacking Trump. Why? Because Cruz has to realize Marco Rubio is not going to drop out. If Rubio is not going to drop out, Rubio is not the obstacle – Trump is…
See if you can follow this logic. Marco Rubio is not going to leave the race, therefore it is the better course to attack the stronger frontrunner because, well, according to the Limbaugh logic, Trump winning in all the contests must mean he is positioned to leave the race – or something.
Seriously, this is what Rush Limbaugh is presenting to his audience. This makes absolutely ZERO sense. This is completely nonsensical. This is epic level moonbattery.
What makes Limbaugh think Donald Trump, a candidate who has won three consecutive resounding victories, is less disposed to staying in the presidential race than a freshman senator who has won absolutely no primary contests?
…And if Trump is no less committed to exit, then how does it make more sense to spend time trying to eliminate the stronger of the two candidate options?
We have heard rumors there are times when ineffective “gaslighting” can lead to absolutely insane expressions of logic. It would appear this rumor is profoundly true.
People pay this guy to hear this stuff?

Doesn’t matter. Trump is the only real conservative in America. We must follow Trump no matter what Trump says.

Yes but he does that when he doesn’t want to fully own it
By proxy
Shapiro is bright but he’s a neophyte neoconservative of the first order
Very bright though and I agree with him a lot
But it’s where I disagree with him I can’t bear

That’s the on-air reason Rush gave for reading the article?

No link? Is that bc the info came from a hate-Sundance site—of which there are many. That would be like going to Media Matters for info on Rush.

I agree, Levin made a good argument yesterday.
Trump thinks that Rubio will be very easy to roll in a two man contest so right now he is trying to drive Cruz from the race. It is like a mafia hit, nothing personal against Ted but he is just in the way.

Sundance is clean because he worships Trump. He can do no wrong. Bow before god Trump! /s
I have absolute contempt for Trump and those who refuse to allow him to be vetted or criticized. It is absolute folly and all because he has a great sales pitch and tickles your ears.

To be fair Rush was reading from someone else’s article. I don’t think he necessarily holds or endorses this view.

“Thatâs the on-air reason Rush gave for reading the article?”
Did I say that?
To: traderrob6
Which is why Limbaugh worships George W. Bush, backed John McCain and Mitt Romney 100%, and called Marco Roboto “a full-throated conservative” comparing him to Ronald Reagan.
Rush Limbaugh is on the edge of becoming irrelevant. If Limbaugh doesn’t savage Romney for his scurrilous attack on Trump’s income taxes on his show today then Limbaugh will be revealed as a GOPe hack and a fraud.

This thread reminds me of why I don’t like Trump.
In order to defend Trump, this guy posts a half-baked argument attacking somebody who has been on the right side of just about everything for the last thirty years, and then proceeds to grossly insult anybody who does not agree with him.
I just don’t see what it is about Donald Trump that makes it worth it to people to tie themselves up in knots and make fools of themselves in order to defend him.
It must be some kind of emotional appeal. When a candidate has an emotional appeal, I always miss the boat. I just don’t get worked up by politicians of any stripe. So I am always left in the position of trying to use logic to talk somebody out of a position they did not arrive at logically. This is, needless to say, impossible.

“Scurrilous” seems a bit hyperbolic. Personally I’d like to know why Trump won’t make them available as most others have.

I believe you are referencing the Trump - MAKE AMERICA GRE4AT AGAIN website.
Certainly NOT the FR website.
