Black Lives Matter Co-Founder: 'All Lives Matter' is a Racial Slur

Jerome Hudson at Breitbart reports that Black Lives Matter co-founder Marissa Jenae Johnson told Fox News correspondent John Roberts that the phrase "all lives matter" - used to counter the "black lives matter" mantra - is a "new racial slur."
In a recent interview with Roberts, Johnson explained why "all lives matter" is a racial slur:
"White Americans have created the conditions that require a phrase like 'Black Likes Matter. Do you know how horrific it is to grow up as a child in a world that so hates you? While you're literally being gunned down in the street, while you're being rounded up and mass incarcerated and forced into prison slavery?"
Roberts didn't bother to challenge her on this, even though America is not "a world that so hates" blacks, even though prison is not the same as slavery, and even though there is no "mass incarceration" of blacks here. That phrase suggests that blacks are being rounded up en masse and herded into internment centers simply for being black, like the Japanese in World War II. The fact is that blacks who are incarcerated got there by committing serious crimes and being convicted of them as individuals in a court of law. Are blacks sometimes wrongly convicted? Tragically, yes, and that's something that must never be tolerated or left uncorrected. But Johnson does not acknowledge that blacks are a disproportionate number of convicts because they commit a hugely disproportionate number of crimes. She does not acknowledge that the vast majority of blacks "gunned down in the street" were violently resisting arrest like Ferguson's Michael Brown. She does not acknowledge that the black community bears any responsibility for its own condition.
"Black Lives Matter is not a strong enough statement for me," she added. If she really cared about black lives, she would acknowledge the scourges of black abortions and black-on-black crime. But those black lives don't push the proper narrative.
You may recall Johnson as the BLM activist who stormed the stage to interrupt candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders at a campaign rally last year. When Fox's Roberts asked her why she targeted "the far-left candidate" to protest, Johnson replied that Sanders is "left for white folks. He's left for the needs and concerns of mainstream white America."
"The Democrats have always been reliant on the black vote," Johnson added. "Part of what we're doing is waking black voters up to their power as a voting bloc within the Democratic party."
"Has the Democratic Party taken African-American voters for granted?" Roberts asked naively.
"Consistently, always," Johnson replied, laughing. "Always and forever."
And yet Roberts didn't ask her the next obvious line of questions: Then why not vote Republican for once? Why not get off the Democrat plantation if you're tired of being a victim? Why not reject the Democrat party's failure to elevate the black community? Of course, the notion of voting Republican would be unthinkable to her, because the right has been so effectively demonized as the party of rich, white racists.
When asked what needs to happen for progress to be made, Johnson threw out some vague proposals about taking down white supremacy:
"What it's gonna take to dismantle white supremacy is white folks actually gotta give up something. You have to actually sacrifice yourself. You have to be willing to give up the things that you currently benefit from."
She didn't specify what, but in any case there is no mainstream white supremacy in America. This is a country with a black President and First Lady, black Supreme Court justices, black attorney generals, black generals in the military, black CEOs, black Congresspeople and Senators, black attorneys, black judges, and on and on. There is no white supremacy apart from marginalized pockets of racist fools (remember, this is a country in which racist murderer Dylann Roof couldn't find anyone in person or online to join him in his massacre of Charleston churchgoers), nor is there any systemic white racism in America, where discrimination is illegal.
But that's how the Black Lives Matter movement must characterize America in order to justify its activism and its self-victimization.

Long ago, after freedom was achieved by blacks to live, work and participate in America as a whole; there were also created the means and the freedom to leave this nation if one found its benefits oppressive. Why not stop being Africans in America and try being Africans somewhere else?
This wasn’t enough?
Even President Lincoln, who used the black issue to political advantage, just as is being done today, knew deep down that blacks were of a nature that would never quite gel with whites. That’s why he was clearly not in favor of them being allowed to stay, but rather suggested that they be relocated to a place where they could live in a society of their own making. I believe he suggested Liberia.
White folks have already given up trillions to you racist remoras. Get off your butts and fix your own damned culture.
I saw part of this interview with this young woman. She is 24 years old yet purports to hold the wisdom and history of all the ages and how ‘blacks’ have been treated and how they should be treated. I think she is just another race baiting huckster like Sharpton. In some of the camera shots she could even pass for white. So maybe she is trying hard to fit into the BLM group out of guilt for her own appearance. I don’t know but she is smug and not as intelligent as she thinks.

Well, I understand where you’re coming from. The only hedge I would make would be to acknowledge that there are any number of very fine black people I have encountered in my 60+ years on this Earth, some of whom I have voluntarily placed my life into their hands (my urology surgeon who helped cure me of prostate cancer), and any number of other good people, some of who are right here on FR. Sadly, I think they are in the minority as far as the black race is concerned, which on balance has been decimated by the dependence culture that has been placed upon them by those (’Rats) who purport to be their advocates and saviors. The person interviewed in the article is a perfect example.
All this woman is doing is promoting black racism and tyranny for whites.
She would only be satisfied if this country resembled Zimbabwe and our Constitution and liberties were banned by dictatorial decree.
To get started as a fellow FReeper I respect your opinion, however I will say this, for this is something I was ingrained with by my Dad who was in the Navy for 20 years and been around the world including that world, was to thank god I was born an American and not in some hellhole. I cannot fathom what the hell is wrong with them, even my family has given up on them, personally I would offer them money and a one way ticket to another nation on the caveat that they renounce citizenship for those that do not have their $hit straight that is.
I understand that, but other than the few who have already been in my life and are tried and true, I just don’t have the time, patience, or energy anymore to “vet” new people, especially when more than once I, and people I know, have been burned by black people who purported to subscribe to “people are people”, but I learned otherwise in various ways. Now I just can’t and won’t be bothered, it’s already enough to have vet the new people one allows into their life on other factors, without adding hidden racial resentment to the mix. And it’s tiring and frustrating to walk on eggshells because when things like Ferguson come up, you learn that unless you buy into things like the “war on blacks” (criminals), you are a latent racist. I don’t defend white criminals, I’m certainly not going to make heroes of black ones.
I hope with a new President, we can do away with this slogan. I hope to never hear or see it again.. ever! It’s the epitome of political correctness and stupidity.. it’s a sign of how far we’ve gone under BO’s racist leadership. Makes no sense since abortion mills make a mockery of such a statement.

There is no “right to a job we’re qualified for”. There is however, the right to “equal opportunity” and Affirmative Action does have the potential for putting minority interests ahead of white (Caucasian) and Asian applicants, however unqualified.
