Trump fans here have already been “speculating” for months that it will be Ted Cruz, so Ted needs to “clear up” the birther issue and grovel before Trump for forgiveness for the privilege of being Trump’s water boy. But no Cruz supporter has shown the slightest interest in Cruz having this “honor”, so they’ve replaced it with the “vote Trump and you’ll get Cruz on SCOTUS” talking point.
Not gonna be Ted, no chance, no way. Much more likely to be Rubio.
I advocated for a Trump /Cruz ticket because I thought that it would be best for the country. But after seeing Cruz up close for the last month or so, I no longer want Cruz anywhere near the ticket. Or on SCOTUS. And I see no reason to try and entice people like you by saying otherwise. Trump is racking up win after win without your support in the primaries and he'll do just fine without your support in the general.
It is wildeyed speculation that being Trump VP would turn out to be anything honorable. If most non-Trumpbot’s read on Trump is even partially right, his will be a one termer due to a massive conservative political revolt. Yes, even by those now Super Trumpbots!
At the very best Trump will do little more than make some “feel good” and make deals across the aisle which end up kicking the can on down the road for a real conservative to clean up the mess, or a progressive to finally kill the Golden Goose.
