President Barack Obama says he's looking for a Supreme Court nominee with a sterling record, a deep respect for the judiciary's role and an understanding of how the law affects real people. [...]

He writes on the legal blog SCOTUSblog that he's looking for someone who approaches decisions with no "particular ideology or agenda." But Obama says he's also seeking someone guided by his or her "perspective, ethics and judgment." ...

Guided by WHOSE real-life perspective?

To NOT be guided by any given perspective is the reason you have a Constitution, isn’t it?

In reference to what he says, or what we may end up with?

In reference to what he says.

McConnell says a nomination is DOA. Of course, the Senate Republicans have a history of crumbling...but if Trump holds them firm, then Obama is just wasting his time telling the MSM about the type of Justice he is going to select. It's like a little girl, in a very serious manner, explaining to her parents what color Unicorn she is going to get from Santa Claus.

Obama should be a lame duck...and Trump should put him in his place - even if the Republican controlled Congress is too frightened to do it themselves.

Seems to me he is contradicting himself,no ideology, but their own principles, what’s the difference, just double talk as usual.
180 degrees out of phase from what he said as Senator Obama, but no surprise there

“None of Obama’s nominees come close to that description. “

If Obama wants to impress me, Nominate Miquel Estrada to SCOTUS.

Does Obama have a real life perspective? Would he know one if he ran into it head-on?

Few children of privilege do.

Obama seeks a nominee who will be complicit in further destroying this nation as it was founded. Who doesn’t get that by now? You’re either for the destruction of the Constitution and the establishment of Socialism or you’re against it.

Real life from his perspective. Excludes higher power.

"...with a sterling record, a deep respect for the judiciary's role".

From Duh-1, that is a record of liberal rulings amounting to legislating from the bench.

Note he didn't say jack about upholding the Constitution.

Gee, no mention of a judge guided by the Constitution? My hopes for Obama taking in a moment of sanity are not to be?

Kabuki theater is not “crumbling”. It’s collusion while starting off with a transparent front of making a stand. The only thing that the GOP-e is “frightened” of is actual conservatives, which is why they attack them at every turn.

As he likes to say, you have to trust him to do the right thing. Don’t all dictators say that, though?
