However, if everyone did the same . . . would that not give full ownership of this social media to the socialists . . . er I mean communists. Yeah I know thats redundant
Same here. I don’t blame him either. Twitter can be a cesspool.
‘A man called Jayne’.....love his characters in Firefly and Independence day
Let “the bad part of town” be the bad part of town so folks can point it out and avoid it.
Give ‘em hell, “Animal Mother!!”
“The Last Ship” is a great series......
Leftists tend to not know how to keep media sustainable. NBCnews and Air America are examples of leftists killing media.
I have a Twitter account, but in general I haven’t found it all that useful. And, all of the social media can be garbage media.
I’ve never found Twitter interesting enough to sign up for it. I dint need to know anybody’s thoughts every three seconds.
Twitter, when used as a near-real-time news feed is very useful.
Sadly, that good use of it is really overshadowed by the garbage.
Excellent examples of that media. However, Twitter is a different animal with a wholly different dynamic. And I strongly suspect conservatives have not quite a full understanding of the synergy behind it.
Mr. Trump has built his campaign publicity around Twitter. It has been brilliant and effective.
1. Leftist political views tend to have a lot of appeal among losers and misfits who can't read, write or think clearly. So they don't read newspapers and have no interest in political discussions in a media forum. These people also tend to be at the lower end of the economic ladder, so advertisers don't see them as a good target audience.
2. Leftist political views tend to have a lot of appeal among the very wealthy, who would be a good target audience for that reason alone ... but there aren't many of them, so they don't support anything other than a narrowly-focused, specialized business model.
And it's free, too.
I signed up a few years ago and tried it for a month or so. Not worth it. The only thing 140 characters can effectively do is get you in trouble. Trying to be too concice on the fly can get you in big trouble.
“âThe Last Shipâ is a great series.....”
Yes, it is a great series. Thirteen more episodes starting this summer. I had almost forgotten about it till I read this article.
“Trust and Safety Council”? How Orwellian can one be? Jack Dorsey, CEO of Twitter had the utter audacity to state that “Twitter stands for freedom of expression, speaking truth to power, and empowering dialogue. That starts with safety.” So in order to have freedom of expression, one needs to eliminate freedom of expression for any dissenting views from the reigning liberal political correctness doctrine.
They’re begging for a competitor. Since they built Twitter in a single weekend 9 years back it couldn’t be that complicated.

Yes, that’s exactly why I spend too much time there. In spite of the Trolls and rude leftists. It is the quickest way to get real info on foreign news in the local perspective. I find that interesting and informative.
But yes, It is a constant battle keeping a connection at times. (Java script battles) I am convinced the source of some of that is Fed alphabet soup intervention in breaking news. Have proof it exists too. Welcome to the Obamanation.
Note: if you use https:// connections to twitter and install no-script plug-in for Firefox it really helps manage that. Another suggestion is to set up your machine using TLS where available for the connection it seems to be more immune to the scripts. (I run a flavor of Debian Linux)
