Sunday, Feb. 21, 8:52 a.m.: Cruz Communications Director Rick Tyler tweets the link to the post on our blog with the video, saying “Watch Marco Rubio’s awkward remark about the book a Cruz staffer was reading in the hotel lobby. What book was it?” He posted the same comment on Facebook with the link around that time. He later deleted the posts.

Later, some suggest maybe he is saying “every answer’s in there.” We examine the video, breaking down the audio to the very syllable at the beginning of the sentence. We continued to believe we heard an “N” sound.]

The risk from that sort of conspiracy blowing up would outweigh any potential benefits - especially considering there are college kids involved blabbing about everything they’re doing.

Saturday, Feb. 20, 10:48 a.m.: Marco Rubio walks into our hotel, the Hampton Inn near the airport in Columbia, S.C. and exchanges some words with a guest sitting at the table closest to him. A Daily Pennsylvanian staffer records a video.

Sunday, Feb. 21, 8:52 a.m.: Cruz Communications Director Rick Tyler tweets the link to the post on our blog with the video, saying “Watch Marco Rubio’s awkward remark about the book a Cruz staffer was reading in the hotel lobby. What book was it?”

Tyler had almost 24 hrs to check with Rafael Cruz and Collins and confirm what was said. If there is a dispute about the transcript, Tyler is going to check.

and Collins was a total sleaze to not correct the Penn when he knew their transcript was wrong.

And Rafael is not living up to his holy-man image by letting this slander go out. And neither is Cruz.

Saturday, Feb. 20, around 11:20 a.m.: A few Daily Pennsylvanian staffers talked to Rafael Cruz and the staffer in the video with the book, Christian Collins, in an attempt to get an interview with Rafael Cruz, which he declined. We did not ask specifically about the interaction, not realizing at that time that there was anything noteworthy about it. Collins gave us his business card.

Saturday, Feb. 20, 1:47 p.m.: Another Daily Pennsylvanian editor writes a post, detailing our interpretation of the video and the situation as we witnessed it. We publish the post with the video containing subtitles. At this point, we still do not know what book the staffer in the video is reading.

And it’s not until....

Sunday, Feb. 21, 2:18 a.m.: We add a line to the article indicating that the book Collins is reading in the video is a Bible, according to a Cruz staffer.

...that the ZINGER with the trajectory altering Bible reference was added.

And the first mention we see of anyone in the Cruz Camp being aware of the Captioned version is...

Sunday, Feb. 21, around 6:50 a.m.: We happen to run into Collins while eating breakfast in the lobby and preparing to leave the hotel. He talks to us and we ask him what book he was reading the day before. He says it was the Bible. We show him the video with subtitles embedded into the post on our blog. He does not comment on the transcript, but asks if we thought Rubio saw Rafael Cruz. We said we were unsure. He asks for us to send him the link to the post, which we send at 6:54 a.m.

Did you hear that filthy language before you condoned it, or did you condone it because it came from someone ostensibly connected to the Cruz campaign ?
Cruz belongs to the Southern Baptist faith community.
Are you part of that group as well ? I would have thought they would view the language in that video as sin, being pornographic.

Rafael Edward Cruz is campaigning as the holiest candidate on the dais. Therefore it behooves both he, and his supporters, to walk that talk. Dr. Ben Carson was wronged and Sen. Cruz never made amends. Now this video comes up and is grievously misused by the Cruz campaign to attack Sen. Rubio, who actually made a favorable comment about the Bible. When that evidence is pointed out, and the corrupt communication of the adversary on the posted video was shown, what was your response >

1. Taking the name in vain in an abbreviated form
2. Excusing the corrupt communication

I can but conclude there is no difference in holiness between the Cruz campaign and any other campaign. In fact, it may be worse because its adherents claim to be holier than thou Puritans and behave as Publicans. By contrast the other campaign are portrayed as, and expected to be, Publicans, and occasionally behave as good Samaritans.

on something this incendiary Tyler would definitely check, esp when two people in the video are probably right there in the room with him.

And he would tell Cruz as well. Something like this would definitely lead to media questions for the candidate. And candidates don’t like to be blindsided.

Good grief, that comment is loaded with logic defying fallacy, strawmen, overstatement, and understatement. Minor mistakes are often the pretense some choose to exaggerate and use to attack Christians because they must somehow be infallible or they’re tagged charlatons. He was Mormon then he went to something else.

Rubio is the biggest fake christian out of all the candidates.

Im sure someone has explained this better. But isn’t the Rubio type, sort of ethnic pandering, ethnic worship, La Raza rhetoric actually un-Christian.

If you want to observe some real unrepentant sleaze you should turn your gaze to Trump.

1. Did you watch the video that outed the culpable person who tried to harm Rubio ?
2. Are you claiming to be a Christian like Cruz, or like Trump, who at least admits he is a Presbyterian ?
