Rick Tyler, the Senior Communications Advisor for Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), issued a public apology after spreading a false story reporting that Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) made a nasty comment to a Cruz staffer about the Bible.
"I want to apologize to Senator Marco Rubio for posting an inaccurate story about him here earlier today," Tyler wrote on Facebook after sharing the false story online. "The story misquoted a remark the Senator made to the staffer. I assumed wrongly that the story was correct."
The false report indicated that Rubio said that there were "not many answers" in the Bible -- when in fact, Rubio commented that "all the answers" were in the book of scripture.
Tyler indicated that he communicated with the Cruz staffer in the video, who explained that Rubio had made a "friendly and appropriate remark" about the Bible.
"Since the audio was unclear, I should not have assumed the story was correct," Tyler wrote. "I've deleted the post because I would not knowingly post a false story. But the fact remains that I did post it when I should have checked its accuracy first. I regret the mistake."

Yep!
Maybe you should quit posting it then.
You're a very angry young man.
Wow.
Will you do the same if I can prove Trump has never supported the things he's saying he supports now? If I can prove Trumps dishonesty and corruption, will you admit I'm right?
Do you REALLY want to go there?
look up the names "Trump, Laretta Lynch, and Felix Sater." (And this is just for starters)
After Sater's criminal history (stock fraud) and past ties to organized crime (mafia) came to light in 2007, Trump distanced himself from Sater.
Less than three years later, however, Trump tapped Sater for a business development role that came with the title of senior adviser to Donald Trump. Sater received Trump Organization business cards and was given an office within the Trump Organization's headquarters, on the same floor as Trump's own.
(This is why Trump will have no choice but to nominate Laretta Lynch to the supreme court. The mafia will give Trump and offer he literally can't refuse)
I saw that thread. When one of them suggested the post didn’t actually mean you should hang yourself, but should emulate a bat, my jaw dropped. Cruz’ lies have so infected them, they’re lying almost pathologically themselves now. I.e.: there was no bat allusion in the post. You were instructed to commit suicide. And this by the supposedly Christian supporters of the Bible thumping preacher-candidate.
It’s a mess. I never thought I’d live to see the day.
47 states? You think Cruz will never make that far? I bet good money he bails looong before that.
I’m still waiting for you to link me to your Trump quote. You weren’t, surely, lying about exactly what Trump said...were you?
You’re welcome. :)
I was really shocked when I heard him being interviewed on Fox last week. He was repeatedly asked about the doctored photo of Rubio and Obama, he deflected several times and eventually said that somewhere along the line Rubio had shaken Obama's hand so it was technically true.
I think Rubio will be the bailer. He hasn't won anything at all yet. If the beltway insiders and MSM keep up the support for him, hopefully that will hurt him.
It didn't in SC, tough. He managed to take valuable votes away from Cruz because the "Tea Party" darlings supported the RINO instead! (Were they just following orders, or has the Tea Party been hijacked?)
I’m honestly beginning to question the whole career politician thing, which I have never thought about as I am now, especially after being so surprised with what is going on in Cruz’s campaign and possibly with Cruz himself, I don’t know.
Unlike many, I believe God put self interest in us to survive and thrive. Nothing wrong with self-interest per se, it’s what make the world go ‘round. But I’m beginning to think that with a career politician, self-interest mutates into seeking political gain because politics has become that person’s career. Maybe for that reason, term limits make sense.
One of my biggest bugaboos with Cruz is his failure to have made arrangements for a federal court to rule on his eligibility as an NBC (either an advisory opinion that could be considered mandatory authority or an actual case to get this thing put to bed). To me, if Cruz is nominated, he is risking the GOP nominee being DQ’d and if he loses the gamble, handing the election over to the Socialists. To me he is gambling on America’s future for the sake of his own political prospects. I looks like more career politician stuff to me and really turns me off.
Thank You, Jesus!!!
I’m in for Trump (voting early tomorrow) but WILL gladly vote for Cruz in the general if he wins the nomination. I fear this Trump/Cruz rivalry will influence others not so disposed to select someone else like Rubio which in my opinion is the illegal alien Amnesty death knell for this country. We are in a very dangerous position right now if we don’t collectively coalesce based on the actual votes coming instead of the vitriol and invective flying between the Trump and Cruz camps now.
Agreed. I’m also a Trump guy (Trumpers and Trumpettes?). I’d like to see a TRUMP/CRUZ ticket, but Cruz has GOT to get this NBC thing put to bed IMO.
Just keep watching. Cruz is done.
Another issue that needs to be addressed.... in Trumps New York operations... is the use of undocumented Polish workers to demolish the Bonwit Teller building, which made way for the Trump Tower. Only a handful of union workers from Housewreckers Local 95 were employed on the site, the vast majority were illegal Polish alien workers, toiling under inhumane conditions, and wildly underpaid. Trump and his associates were found guilty in 1991 of conspiring to avoid paying pension and welfare fund contributions.
(Thanks Dana)
I support Trump...but good line.
You’re right. Much better that we elect a President who never apologizes for anything. Oh, wait...
