Loretta Lynch: We’ll Position DOJ to Do Obama’s Work ‘Long After’ We’re Gone
Brietbart ^ | 1/11/16 | Ben Shapiro

For all those who revel in the fact that there are 374 days until President Obama finally gets the hell out of the White House, a cautionary note: Obama and his colleagues are rigging the bureaucracy so that their unique brand of “hope and change” extends far beyond their tenure.

The latest evidence: Attorney General Loretta Lynch told New York Magazine this week, “My goal is to position the [Department of Justice] where it will carry on in all of these issues long after myself and my team have moved on.” She was responding specifically to questions about how she planned to prosecute gun sellers under Obama’s new executive actions.

Lynch, unlike her predecessor Eric Holder, isn’t a bomb-thrower. Like President Obama before his self-deification, Lynch hides behind vagary and a general sense of reasonableness. “We went in thinking We’re going to ask her the toughest questions we can come up with,” says Steven Edwards, a lawyer who interviewed Lynch for a local bar publication. “And we couldn’t lay a glove on her.” As New York Magazine states, Lynch simply ran out the clock on

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX)
97%

’s (R-TX) questions to her during her confirmation hearings.

We differ in that you (and some other posters) appear to believe that a putative Republican president will take decisive action against the Federal bureaucracy, of which the DOJ is only one element. I do not believe this will happen, regardless of the outcome of the election.

COULD ALSO WORK LIKE THIS: signed Boobamba memos "delegate" to federal agencies orders to come up with plans (that must advance DOJ/Lynch/Boobamba's conspiracy to control the US govt ad infinitum).

The federal agencies then "invent" Committees to do this. Then "Administrative Rules," after a comment period, will be published in the "Code of Federal Regulations," which magically turns them into law........ using federal fairy dust.

So Boobamba is shielded from responsibility---he doesn't have to take the hit. Behind closed doors, he tells federal factotums what he wants.....and faster than you can say "so sue me", eternal progressive control of the US govt commences.

=====================================================

THE "DELEGATION" HORROR STORY--A Federal agency MO since 1946. It's down to a science: (1) publish a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM), (2) make the comment period really short, (3) stonewall any negative comments, and, (4) publish the rule, which (5) NOW has the force of US law. No Congressman was ever involved, and Boobamba doesn't leave his DNA on it. Yet again, why "Delegation" is ominous for liberty---why the writing of administrative law by federal agencies - is un-Constitutional (hat tip to FReeper Regulator.)

I’ve been waiting for Trump to unload both barrels on the Bureaucracy but it hasn’t come yet. I support Scott Walker for VEEP to accomplish the purge of the commies in the Federal Government. A combo of resignation requests, wage and bonus cuts and overall budget cuts would greatly hasten the job. Finally eliminating unionized federal employees as the crescendo.

phony manufactured issues
THE DOJ under Lynch is flaming the racist issue.
Most Americans thought the issue was non-existant and that the DOJ was supporting THUGS LOOTERS AND RIOTERS.... which it was.
SO PERHAPS OBAMA. LORETTA LYNCH AND ERIC HOLDER should BE BROUGHT TO justice IN THE NEAR FUTURE...
and anyting these dimwitted unConstitutional racists have set up can be DISMANTLED and set straight..
Soros ought to be brought to justice also. He has funded these phony front groups like BLM that are nothing but inciting criminal activity...

I do not think that Loretta Lynch knows how to do this. And why would the left tell anyone about their intentions?

You do that by shifting the moral compass majority of SCOTUS to progressive. Just have to figure out a way to “get rid of” a constitutional constructionist SCOTUS justice or two.

Just how are “we” going to do that? Hmmm.

The new President should replace ALL Federal Prosecutors for a start.

Yes, that’s true. However, a single blow against one group of illegal strikers is far different from a general assault on the entrenched bureaucracy. The rent-seeking hordes of Federal workers won’t go on strike: they will simply sit in their comfortable positions in hundreds of agencies, making sure business as usual (for them) continues indefinitely.

“What would one have to do in order to protect current executive orders so they remain active long after Obama leaves office?”

Elect a milquetoast who would allow them to remain in effect.

Or you could elect someone who would ride in with a club and carry out the desires of the voters for a change.

As others have remarked upthread, political appointees can be purged, but the career civil service people are very, very hard to shift. It would be extremely interesting to see a President attempt to dismantle the civilian personnel system, but I don’t expect it in my lifetime.

I would imagine the only way to do it would be by MAJOR budget cuts in DOJ. Under civil service, layoffs are by seniority, so cut the agency by enough that you can fire everybody hired during the Obama presidency.

No, you didn’t. Not one question about prosecuting Holder or anyone at the ATF for Fast and Furious.

Trump is going to have to say “You’re Fired!” to around 20,000 people a month.

Remember this article anytime after Obama when people talk about “inheriting things”.

Clinton did the same thing to Bush.

Then next thing to to is go after teh federal judges appointed by this administration too.

The House and Senate should be using impeachment much more often than they are. It is not a criminal process, it is a political process. The founding fathers did not intend for a federal judge to be able to do whatever he/she/it wants without fear of reprisals. A few examples would make judges a bit more circumspect. If not, then the impeachment process is always available.

Also, with an out of control judiciary, it may be necessary to disestablish a court and then reestablish it by law, hiring new judges as needed. A legal mess, to be sure with ongoing cases, but that can also be addressed by statute.
