Thanking yon commenters for input that makes me think and ruminate.

So Trump won last nightâ€¦.hey I’m okay with that.

I watched Scalia’s funeral and heard that Pope of mine who I can’t stand.

I will be going to mass at 10 am with Diane Feinstein. We are not singing in the choir so we get to sit downstairs with the common people.

And so for a few weeks I decided to maybe try out the “dating” scene, as it were, perhaps make a few male friends.

Do you want to hear about the boat-seller who had one chance and he blew it?

Do you want to hear about the lawyer who showed up to my house (it was a business meeting, y’all got to hear that story) looking like Ramboâ€¦.Lord he was handsome.

As for the priest, well for that you’re going to have to wait for the book (there is so much more to this drama than yon readers know, heh).

The boat-seller is a fellow I’ve known for three years now, met him at the Sussex county council when I complained about the constable and my fence. Through the last couple of years he calls me once a week, we discuss politics, he offered, long time ago to take me out to dinner.

So in my decision to perhaps test the waters of romance I invited the boat-seller to MY house for dinner, offering to discuss local politics which we are both into.

HE didn’t answer me right away, said he had a boat show coming up on date I selected. I thought he was lying about that but turns out they do have boat shows in February, did you know that?

But I offered him an out, told him if he wasn’t comfortable perhaps another time. And he took me up on itâ€¦maybe spring.

WELL HE HAD ONE CHANCE!

That’s my rule, and has always been my rule, with the opposite sex.

So the boat-seller calls me up a week ago, leaves me a message to call him back. I think to myselfâ€¦.”don’t hold your damn breath”.

Next week he calls me, “Hiya, Pat, how you doing?” I tell him he had one chance, it’s okay he didn’t want to take me up on my offer but don’t call me acting like it’s okay.

YOU HAD ONE CHANCEâ€¦..I told him not to call me again.

Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.

So the lawyer, hand to God people, this lawyer I also have known for three years, did a review of his book “Growing Up Country”, he is the Sussex county lawyer, his daughter was my granddaughter’s teacher, he’s very handsome. And he now represents me on this property line issue, indeed he does.

So he shows up to my house (one day I’ll flesh out this incredible storyâ€¦.heh) to determine the property lines with the other people’s lawyerâ€¦.y’all will see this on Dateline soon.

I gasped. The man was wearing a pair of tight jeans, a leather jacket that was smooth and obviously expensive, a nice sweater and a pair of cowboy boots!

Well I had to act right so I didn’t say how nice he looked but dear Lord, he obviously keeps himself fit, I always knew that.

So they have their meeting in my backyard, where, to my embarrassment, he must walk around dog poopâ€¦.I didn’t know my dogs were pooping over there.

At some point I offer him a cup of coffee and he says No, he has to get back to the office. I’m thinking dear Lord he goes to his law office dressed like that?

But hey, he didn’t take me up on it so TWO STRIKES AGAINST PAT!

Then there’s the priest but of course he’s my priest and you will have to read the book, like I said. Don’t worry, it will be fiction, insert wink here.

But don’t cry for me Argentina. Cause I have decided to give it upâ€¦..obviously I am not ready for all this.

Hope y’all had a good week and as a political junkee I am in love with all the action going on in this country’s political scene.

I’ll be around for a while, got to tell you how mad I am at the Pope. Such anger which I shared with Father Flowersâ€¦..indeed I did. Who is Pastor of a church on Tulip drive, you got to smile.
