Show me where the Cruz campaign ever said that Carson was “suspending his campaign”. They said he was taking a break from campaigning based on the CNN report saying he wouldn’t be going to NH or SC. And that IS what the CNN report said, and it IS what happened with Carson, unless you consider a prayer breakfast a campaign event which raises a whole different set of questions.

To be a “lie” it has to be factually incorrect and the person has to know it is factually incorrect. Show me where the Cruz campaign said something they knew to be factually incorrect. I’ve heard the recordings you mention, and did not hear anything that was factually incorrect. Quote the factually incorrect statements to me.

The Cruz campaign accurately said that the CNN report had noted that Carson would not be campaigning in NH and SC. I’ve posted the transcript clearly showing that’s what they said. So again, tell me this “lie” that you accuse Cruz of saying at a press conference in SC.

“Dr. Ben Carson will be [garbled] suspending campaigning following tonight’s caucuses.”

Right there.

So, as you can see and hear, Cruz’s campaign lied about Carson. They chose to make the leap to a conclusion that was false, and they spread that false conclusion to voters.

Then Ted Cruz lied about this himself in his own voice at his press conference in South Carolina.

I don’t think Ted Cruz is the who you think he is.
