As you said they studied each candidates stance on these and used that as the basis for the outcome of ones responses to the test.
The objections to this test, is the fear it will not come out in favor of their candidate. My fear as well, but I dove right in anyway, chose to answer how I agreed/disagreed and it came out exactly what I liked.

In addition to stances on the issues, I consider that adjustment I have been making since last August about how I feel about voting for any of the candidates highly important - establishment or not.
Note that with that adjustment, my survey comes out Cruz 92, Trump 90 = which is exactly how I have been feeling about them. I have no ill will toward Trump or any of the other candidates besides Hitlery.
