Game time.
I agree with you 100% but I put the Constitution at the front of those equally important things:
"The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated..."
I'm thrilled to back on Free Republic with you and I don't hold your anger and frustration against you. FReegards!
Your smug attitude will be your undoing here.
Get lost, traitor.
Foreigners aren’t subject to our Constitution, and have no rights here. The Bill of Rights protects you and I, not those who are citizens of other countries.
You’re barking up the wrong tree if you want to promote ‘rights’ for foreign invaders to me.
Windflier for SCOTUS! Doesn't matter who wins the POTUS, both parties crave your service in replacement of Scalia.
All kidding aside, it's the government that is subject to the Constitution.
Are you being intentionally obtuse? I think you are. Try to stay on topic, if you can.
The point which you laughingly evaded, is that American citizens have rights under our Constitution - NOT foreign citizens.
You and I have 4th Amendment protections, but not foreign nationals, who, by law, are required to possess a visa or green card to be present in our country. It's our government's DUTY to ensure that every foreigner on U.S. soil, is here legally. That can only be determined by actual inspection.
I honestly don't care if that inspection is performed in the normal course of contact with law enforcement or other government agencies, or whether it's overtly done by immigration officers checking papers.
Given that there are an estimated 40 million or more of these invaders in our country, I simply Do Not Care if some liberal gets their panties in a bunch about tough enforcement.
Do you care if they vote? I predict they will panic vote against Trump, just sayin. But they probably would against Cruz too, maybe not as much.
I simply Do Not Care if some liberal gets their panties in a bunch about tough enforcement.
Well, we’ll never agree on this.
I respect your concerns and think that that there are certain immigrant groups which should have immigration further curtailed.
Here he was a few days ago naming himself as the candidate who advocates for hedge fund managers to pay higher taxes:
Donald Trump Sees Himself as Bernie Sanders
And here he was last August, calling for higher tax rates:
Thanks. In both cases he is talking about rich people he knows “who now pay very little tax”. The example he cites specifically is loopholes in the way carried interest is taxed that allow hedge fund traders to pay almost nothing. Saying he would close these loopholes and make certain wealthy people pay a fair tax rate is far different than saying he will raise taxes on the rich. Conflating the two is disingenuous and misrepresents Trump’s tax plan. Again, read his actual tax plan. If you think his stated tax plan is a lie and that he will actually raise rates on the high income brackets I.e. soak the rich like a democrat, then that’s your opinion, but please don’t misrepresent his stated positions.
