“If everybody can buy cheap insurance, with mandates, costs come down for everybody...”

My pastor pays $700/month for health insurance. He’s 60. My BIL retires next year, and they are looking at $1200/month for health insurance. I’m retired military, so my insurance is dirt cheap compared to most. But...in what sense are we better off with mandates?

BTW - met a guy yesterday who is paying $14,000/year in health insurance premiums. About the same as my sister is being told to expect. My sister and BIL are thinking about paying the fines instead and doing without. Her comment? “It has reached a point where if we die, we die...but we cannot afford insurance”.

I’m not for mandates. I’m for freedom.

That is CRAZY...
Did you take a peek at my profile page?

Mandates eliminates freeloaders, who when can’t pay their medical bills, the others get stuck with their bills in the form of higher premiums.

Keep in mind the real reason premiums are so high is BECAUSE OBAMACARE MANDATES TOO MANY FEATURES in your policy.
