Donald J. Trump â@realDonaldTrump 26m26 minutes ago
I was asked about healthcare by Anderson Cooper & have been consistent- I will repeal all of #ObamaCare, including the mandate, period.
I was referring to a backstop for pre-existing conditions. I will eliminate the law, in its entirety, & replace it w/ something much better.
I will replace it with private plans, health savings accounts, & allow purchasing across state lines. Maximum choice & freedom for consumer.
I'm self-funding and I am going to take care of the people â not the special interests and insurance companies like the other candidates.
Remember, Cruz and Bush gave us Roberts who upheld #ObamaCare twice! I am the only one who will #MAKEAMERICAGREATAGAIN!

Listen, I feel for you. If I backed a loser, I would be angry too.
Rush was having an orgasm today and couldn’t get this through his THICK head
How is it not true? If people know that they can get insurance even after they get sick, why would they buy insurance before then?
I haven’t listened to Rush in about a week. He’s always said how smart his audience is yet thinks we’re stupid enough to follow him without question.
This is exactly what I said his position has been in a dozen posts on various threads and was ridiculed mercilously and called stupid. I and probably many others asked him to make a statement today. As usual he delivered. I wonder if I will receive any appologies? I am not getting my hopes up.
Yeah, now lets hear it for Trump and the Pope. ;-)
Not true at all...
“pre-existing conditions” I should hope that the good Christians and others who are horrified at the thought of abortion would be equally horrified at the idea of letting treatable people die or starve because their insurance has expired or been lost. Hope, hope, hope??? Also, how do we deal with folks who jump the price of a lifesaving drug by 6000% just because they want to, not for economic necessity?
I agree with you. Healthcare costs in America, with those 6,000 percent price increases for drugs, is atrocious. I can go to Mexico and get many of the same drugs for 2 or 3 or 10 times cheaper than what they are sold here.
That’s how strong a grip these big companies have on our country and our political parties. Whether Democrat or Republican, they will never touch the gravy train, but they’ll screw us in favor of libertarian or socialist economics, whatever cover they can get.
I’ve seen the graphic. I also saw it live. Did a double take when he said it, then as he completed his statement I figured out what he meant. You can’t repeal Obamacare and then put in another mandated program. That doesn’t make sense. All along he has been stating that we can’t just let people die. He said he’s for free market private insurance, but their needs to be a program for those who can’t pay for insurance.
Personally, I’m not in favor of any such mandated program at the at the federal level. Leave it to the states, local governments and charities to provide clinics for the poor.
ad nauseum ..............
Perhaps you would like this idea for one way to lower costs not a part of Obamacare, and reducing expensive Emergency Room care.
There are new ways of doing basic diagnostics for most common ills that can be done by Skype, phone, email, etc. It would be so much cheaper for governments (preferably local and state) to set up small clearance offices in poorer or spread out rural areas where people could go for a basic consultation and preliminary diagnosis. Decisions could then be made as to whether to go to an ER, to wait and see if the problem clears up, recommend an over the counter item like aspirin with instructions, or do minor treatment like cleaning and bandaging a small cut or abrasion, etc.
Gibberish....
That’s really smart! I’ll remember that for the future, and you should email it to your senator one of these days.
Because when insurance companies deny insurance due to a preexisting condition, they write the coverage for everything except that condition.

Those are great ideas.
