(CNN)Though Donald Trump continues to lead heading in to South Carolina's primary Saturday, a new poll suggests his support could be fading in the campaign's final days.
According to the NBC News/Wall Street Journal/Marist survey released Friday, the billionaire businessman leads the Republican race in the Palmetto State with 28% support. Texas Sen. Ted Cruz is in second at 23%.
Trump's lead is narrower than other polls of South Carolina Republicans have shown. A CNN poll of polls from Thursday had the average Trump lead over Cruz in recent polls at 16 percentage points, and a Fox News poll conducted on the same days as the NBC/WSJ/Marist poll found Trump up 13 percentage points over Cruz.
In Friday's poll, Rubio trails in third with 15%, just ahead of Jeb Bush at 13%. John Kasich and Bern Carson are tied with 9%...

We will be hanging out our windows screaming in celebration when Ted Cruz once again wipes the floor with the Donald!
You’re a liar, just like Ted.
We aren’t fools.
We know the difference between what CNN reported and what the Cruz campaign told voters.
Polls close at 7 pm EST in South Carolina so actual results
will begin shortly thereafter. All specualtin can end then.

I’ll wait for the poll that ends tomorrow. Hopefully, all the also rans will leave, leaving us with Trump and Cruz.
Its a mystery alright, especially as of the two candidates Cruz has never employed illegal aliens.
Really, such an obvious lame attempt to move the RCP average.
5th posting of this poll today
Ted Cruz 2016!!!
What many of us tend to forget, is that even if Trump is polling at 35%, that is 65% that are AGAINST Trump !
Choose Cruz !
OUTLIER.
Same WSJ/NBC that also peddled an outlier poll in which Trump was below Cruz nationally.
A famous propagandist once said “Wenn man eine Luege oft genug wiederholt, wird sie wahr.”
D@mn, this is just too easy...
Lets face it. This race is going to April for certain. Doesn’t matter who wins SC. We now count by delegates, not who wins each state.
Cruz has never employed illegal aliens.Cruz has never employed anyone. But his crony capitalist puppet masters have.
that is 65% that are AGAINST Trump !And an even larger percentage AGAINST Cruz genius.
So let me get this straight. CNN is the one Cruz blamed for the misinformation about Carson that he used to steal Carson’s votes. After Cruz started catching crap for it, his followers were screaming that CNN lied and were to blame for Cruz’s dirty tactics. Now CNN is reliable with Cruz followers and we’re suppose to believe CNN’s polls?
Choose Cruz today and lose in November. He is simply not electable AND WILL NOT WIN A SINGLE STATE Mittens LOST. If you think so name one.
As of last night, Hillary was doing pretty well. She has about half the state. Trump has the other half. He’s way above the other candidates.
It still comes down to what happens in the primary which can be a bit different from the polls. Guess it’s pretty common that what people say, and what people DO can be two different things.
All the polls show that Ted Cruz is not only more electable than Donald Trump, but that he also does better than Donald Trump in head-to-head match ups against both Hitlery Clinton and Bernie Sanders.
Right, ‘outlier’ is an abbreviation for Outright Liar.
Not at all, all the polls show Cruz does better than Trump in head-to-head match ups against both Hitlery and Sanders.
