(CNN)Though Donald Trump continues to lead heading in to South Carolina's primary Saturday, a new poll suggests his support could be fading in the campaign's final days.

According to the NBC News/Wall Street Journal/Marist survey released Friday, the billionaire businessman leads the Republican race in the Palmetto State with 28% support. Texas Sen. Ted Cruz is in second at 23%.

Trump's lead is narrower than other polls of South Carolina Republicans have shown. A CNN poll of polls from Thursday had the average Trump lead over Cruz in recent polls at 16 percentage points, and a Fox News poll conducted on the same days as the NBC/WSJ/Marist poll found Trump up 13 percentage points over Cruz.

In Friday's poll, Rubio trails in third with 15%, just ahead of Jeb Bush at 13%. John Kasich and Bern Carson are tied with 9%...

The Donald is fading fast.

If Cruz and Trump are really within 5pts of each other, Ted Cruz will almost certainly take SC!!!

It is possible that Dr. Ben can defeat Ted by having a bloc of votes that Ted would otherwise need to win. He can then get his revenge served cold.

"About half of our research is dedicated to winning elections. Our political client base includes thirteen U.S. Senators, six Governors, over sixty-five Members of Congress, and numerous state legislative caucuses. The other half of our work is involved in complex public policy battles, working with industry coalitions, government entities and private companies. This work includes corporate image, community relations, and crisis management research for local companies, Fortune 500 corporations and industry associations throughout the country."

This poll is not data from a valid polling organization, it’s from a PR firm. NBC/WSJ take the PR firm data and sell it as if they themselves, the media, conducted the poll. They didn’t.

It just seems that way because Trump leads in an avalanche of different polls conducted by different sources.

Cruz only seems to magically do better in WSJ cheap labor express polls. Wonder why that is?

Curious, isn’t it? Also CURIOUS is that SO much of the BIG $$ behind Cruz is also cheap labor/amnesty $$$.

Clinton goes up and Trump goes down.

Too bad the Clintonites can’t vote both ways in the polls or Trump wouldn’t be going down.
