Bad news for Cruz?

Well it certainly is good news for the rest of us. Nobody needs a GOP candidate who is later ruled ineligible thereby risking the election being handed to the Socialist Democratic Party.

Cruz looks like he’s put his own political prospects ahead of America’s future by not putting this issue to bed along time ago. Why didn’t he?

There certainly is a genuine dispute over his NBC status. My opinion of him politically has gone down because of his failure to have had this issue decided.

how is he supposed to put it to bed when it ultimately requires a court to rule on which can’t happen until one is actually a candidate and even then not until someone with standing files a suit?

that’s got to be the stupidest reason I’ve ever heard to not support a candidate! “I’m pulling my support because this guy didn’t deal with an issue that he had no possible avenue to deal with”

How, exactly, should he do this?

That is my feeling as well. I have been on the fence between Trump and Cruz. Trump keeps shooting off his mouth and Cruz continues to sidestep this issue. We all know Cruz is smart. So if he had full confidence in his ability to withstand this argument, he would be shouting it to every news organization in the U.S. His avoidance and failure to confidently refute this issue makes me suspect he is hoping to get to the convention and be the nominee.

He is taking the Obama approach. At that point, he is betting the press and courts will let it go like they did with O. However, because his is an R, it will be a full court press and media frenzy designed to undermine and derail his candidacy. Freepers would do well to stop the pissing matches and realize this. It won’t go away after the convention.

I agree that this is something that should be resolved, definitively by the Supreme Court, early in the primary season, rather than as a "gotcha!" move by the Dems in October.

And you KNOW they would do it, if there was any chance of messing up a Republican.

We are much better off voting for a life long liberal who tapping into our anger with a bunch of campaign promises who brags about his ability to get people to believe he will do things he knows he can’t or won’t.
