In a CNN townhall, Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) may have raised eyebrows by siding with the common progressive claim that systemic racism in America's police departments is victimizing black Americans.
During Wednesday's townhall, a questioner asked Rubio about race relations in the United States. Although the voter's question made no mention whatsoever of law enforcement or the police, Rubio was quick to use it as an opportunity to question the racial attitudes of American police.
Rubio then proceeded to cite accounts of police targeting minorities. "You talk about race relations, it's a difficult issue in this country," Rubio said, "And I know a lot if it is centered around law enforcement and police departments." Rubio explained that when a young black male is repeatedly targeted by American police officers "for no reason, what is he supposed to think?"
Rubio said that he has personally "seen" minorities targeted by American law enforcement

Yep, pure white-blooded Spaniard, whose descendants made a temporary stopover in Cuba, has experienced racism.
my opinion of this LIAR Rubio just keeps going lower.
I personally know someone who happens to be a police officer and a young African-American male who told me that heâs been pulled over seven, eight times in the last few years and never gets a ticket. What is he supposed to think? He gets pulled over, for no reason, never gets a ticket. No one has any explanation for why heâs being pulled over. What is he supposed to think?"
If this person actually exists and isn't just a figment of Rubio's fevered imagination, I have a possible explanation.
The African-American cop was pulled over because he was speeding.
He flashed his badge at the cop who had stopped him and was sent on his way without being ticketed because he was a cop, just as he figured would happen.
Rarco Mubio should have rinsed his mouth with ‘smart mouth’ before this clutch engagement.
not this time you bastards...
Marco, you ‘Rat ignorant slut!
Marco, put the Race Card back in your pocket, we don’t accept it here in South Carolina
Blah blah blah
For weeks all we have heard From Slimey Rubio is Cruz is a liar,Fox has pushed this narrative.
Well yesterday Fox and friends host says they checked what Rubio said to Jorge Ramos in Spanish and concluded that what Cruz said about Rubio was true.
Where have you seen it reported that Rubio is a scumbag liar
Oh man, it’s like Chia Pet meets iRubio!
Domo Arigato, Mr, Ruboto.
:-)
They did actually perform a serious study this years ago in, of all places, New Jersey. True, minority drivers are stopped for speeding more frequently on the New Jersey Turnpike. They also drive faster.
IIRC, Rubio's wife has a reputation for driving particularly fast, and has the citations to prove it. I doubt either one uses a radar detector.
(I know, "Just drive slower". But my wasted time is worth more than the cost of the radar detectors.)
“Part of Trump success his support of the police.”
That’s the very first thing that popped into my head when I saw the title! Hasn’t Rubio watched even one of Trump’s rallies when he’s on the topic of how police are being treated unfairly? How he “loves out police”? Although he doesn’t say it, you know he’s alluding to those who’ve been vilified for issues with the thugs who are black.
Rubio is not a “good conservative”...but he does play one on tv.
Rubio has been an empty suit since his days back in Tallahassee. The guy will say or do anything to get elected.
One of the best observations ever made on FR. Well done!
Sen. Rubio, there is a shark out there waiting for your jump attempt.
Light skinned Cubans treat black Cubans like dirt!
In regard to such a charged issue, loose talk is dangerous because it tends to help excite animosities that lead to hostility and violence against cops. Rubio’s comments invite follow up questions, such as a request for specifics as to what he saw and what he did to report the incidents and to alleviate police racism once he attained public office. Almost certainly, Rubio would be hard put to spin up credible answers and would fall further into confabulation and pandering.
