Erick Erickson is reporting at The Resurgent that the Bush campaign is broke.
This is pretty remarkable. Sources close to the Bush campaign are beginning to leak about a call last night. I'm told the Bush team is out of money. Pay for campaign staff will end on Saturday. The campaign is all but over.
Additionally, after having hundreds of millions of dollars on hand, the Bush Super PAC has less than $15 million from what I am being told.
The Bush campaign is denying the rumor but it is coming from too many places take the denials seriously.

Gilmore quietly dropped out the other day, so quietly, no one noticed.
Or you could borrow from Kanye West; I don’t think even Kanye has wasted as much money as Jeb.
Thank you for the link! I am so wanting to read this book, but finances are short, and the line at the library is so long.
I hope the most important parts will be excerpted on FR...
Well, Jeb can always run for president of Mexico!
Gonna pay em with guaca bowls.
I wonder where his almost 200 voters from the previous two states will go? /sarc?
Why does Jeb! Speak fluid spanish and his wife tries to speak english which is hard to understand?
Who wears the pants in the family?
No clue, friend. From what I have seen in pics of the two of them together, his
pants are much bigger than hers, but Jeb seems not to have noticed.
Please note, I wish him well in his future endeavors. but it is hard to see him as a leader when he caters to his tiny wife in language/culture, and doesn’t understand the implications of that when running for President of the USA.
Mexico has a unique culture, even if troubled. It isn’t our culture, and Jeb seems to prefer the Mexican culture, which is fine with me, as long as he doesn’t get the idea that we all should fall in love with it as he has.
Maybe Jeb should relocate to Mexico with wife and kids, and bring his presidential bona fides to lift them up to our standards. He could take on the drug cartels, the corruption, get the underprivileged good jobs, and turn their dependent economy around.
As Martha would say, he could do a “good thing” if he wanted to fix Mexico, so it would stop invading our country, sending their drug dealers, indigent pregnant women, and drug cartels north to wreak destruction in our neighborhoods, killing our citizens, filling up our jails with illegal criminals, and taking our tax dollars to give them all free rent, food stamps, and health care.
Jeb, and all the Bushes, have lost my support, and I am chastened to think that I ever supported them in years past. Our last hope, at this point, is Trump to get in there and clean out the mess they have made, but I am not even sure I can trust him to get it done.
There are so many who want the status quo, who would fight to the death to protect it, because they have so much to lose... I fear we are doomed.
I am not sure even Trump could right the wreck we have become, and it is sad to see our great experiment fail, but it was predicted long ago.
We now have almost 50% of the non-productive population expecting to be taken care of by the productive, who are being taxed and regulated out of existence.
Our economy can’t work on the wages of sandwich makers, bar-tenders, accountants, lawyers, investment advisors, and government worker drones.
Someone has to manufacture and produce the material wealth to pay the salaries of health care workers, government employees, school teachers, nursing home caregivers, welfare receivers, etc.
There is a lot to criticize with Trump, and voting for him is a “hail mary” shot, but what else is there to hope for? I fear we are done, gone, pining for the fjords, and we are are on a long sad downslide, and our country as we once knew it is over.
We just don’t recognize it yet, because it is too hard & too sad to believe. But we are not the first to have pissed it all away, and it started a long time ago. This debacle has been many years encroaching. Some of us saw it, but were ridiculed.
So be it, as they say.
POST 70 - most interesting.
I am actually starting to feel sorry for Jeb!....just a little. Time to go home Jebby.
When I went to Amazon and read the first review, it cinched the deal for my purchase.
If I can stay off of FR long enough to read it (lol), I’ll send you a ping if it tells about the part you’re interested in.
“Jeb is staying in it.”
Should be quite the comedy show if he does so without any staff. Would you volunteer to move deck chairs on the Titanic! ; D
South Carolina is Jeb’s last chance to pull a surprise, which would make donors interested in him again. He’s going to fold. Hopefully, the rest of the single-digit field will fold with him, leaving just the top three going into Super Tuesday.
