At a Wednesday morning campaign event in Bluffton, SC, Donald Trump takes his relitigation of the Bush administration's record on 9/11 and Iraq to the next level, seeming to imply that we don't currently know who "really" committed the 9/11 attacks.
Trump says if he is elected: "you will find out who really knocked down the World Trade Center."
"It wasn't the Iraqis," he explained. "You may find it's the Saudis."
"They have papers in there that are very secret," he also said, referencing the 28 still-classified pages of the 9/11 commission report. "But you will find out."

I like to think of it as more of “America First” than “Code Pink.”
One day he’s MIHOP and the next day he’s LIHOP. It’s the Don after all.
The Saudis keep their friends close and their enemies even closer.
Although Trump claims to have changed a few of his liberal positions, he apparently still believes most of the liberal news he heard when he was a Democrat.
Most of those who acted against us on 911 were Saudis. Bin Laden was a Saudi, living in exile.
So, you can say Saudis knocked it down...but that does not mean they were guided, directed, or controlled by the Saudi Royal Family/Government.
It also does not mean Bush was principle at fault. That, IMHO, goes to eight years of Clinton as the terrorists fought us and prepared to attack the US, and Clinton pretty much sat on his hands.
This is something we pretty much already know.
I have never heard anyone say that Iraq knocked down the buildings.
Bush made a mistake (IMHO) saying that the reason we went into Iraq was for WMDs.
I believe we went into Iraq to defeat Saddam who had violated about every term of the desert Storm cease fire over ten years. But also to establish a strong presence for our military next to Iran, and to set up a fly trap for terrorists to come fight us.
They did...and died by the tens of thousands.
Bush should have been forthright about these goals...I believe after 911 he could have gotten the country to buy into them.
But he succeeded in:
1. Defeating Saddam and his military.
2. Defeating the terrorist insurgency.
3. Establishing a secular Iraq on the road to stability.
4. Establishing a strong base of operation right next door to Iran, the largest state sponsor of terror on earth.
All of that worked and was in place when Bush left office and all of it was worthwhile having.
In fact, it worked so well that in 2009 the Iranian people rebelled and would have themselves over thrown the Mullahs. I believe that the spreading of that type of freedom was a principle goal of the Bush administration...and I believe it was working.
The Iranian people wanted what the Iraqi people were achieving.
But one thing had changed.
Obama was in power. He did not lift a finger to help the people of Iran (he did not want Bush to be remembered as being successful, and he himself is sympathetic to Mullahs.
Then, he squandered all the gains in Iraq and pulled out sustainment force out of country before it was ready to stand on its own which gave us ISIS.
All of that is on Obama’s plate...not Bush’s. and all of this is what actually happened...despite Obama’s rhetoric and propaganda...and unfortunately, despite Trump’s comments to the contrary.

For all freepers, Trump is referring to the 28 pages that have not been released, that have been described as detailing the Saudi’s running the whole operation. Also, it does implicate there was an intentional stand down order given during the NYC attacks.

I am posting to point you in the direction of the documents that Trump is referencing, I am not here to debate 9/11.
The Saudi government had to know what these guys (their citizens) were up to. They never bothered to warn us? If they did, who got that warning (Jamie Gorelick?), and what did they do with that information.
The issue that Trump is bringing up here is that the House of Saud is not our friend, any more than Saddam Hussein or Iran are.
The House of Saud is the largest funder of mosques in the the world, and are the paymasters of many of the most radical degenerates who preach in those very mosques.
These are fair questions to be asked, because they were never answered effectively. The 9/11 Report, of which is partially the work product of one Jamie Gorelick. With her presence on the committee that wrote it, makes it suspect.
I’m not a 9/11 truther, just observing that; what would the report have concluded were she not there to protect the Clintons and herself? It may very well have reached the same result, or not.
Maybe you could also get the Don to tell us if Elvis is still alive.
Trump may actually be unwittingly helping Al-Qaida finish the job.
Namely, Al-Qaida is the sworn enemy of Saudi Arabia. Osama Bin Laden almost certainly packed those planes with Saudis in the hopes that the blowback from 911 would be directed back at his hated enemy, the Saudi royals.
If I’m right, only half of Bin Laden’s plan worked. Now Trump may be helping Al-Qaida accomplish the other half of the plan...albeit as an unwitting dupe.
You gotta believe that careless talk about 9/11 is going to catch up with Trump...

And Gorelick was also involved in the Duke Lacrosse scandal. Her fingers were in everything.
Re the Saudis - of course the Saudis were behind it. Most of the hijackers were Saudi. Right after 9/11 Bush secretly flew out a bunch of Saudi royalty - at a time our citizens were not able to fly. I think that included Osama’s siblings who had condos overlooking Boston Harbor and the airport.
No wonder the GOPers don’t want Trump any where near the White House. I fear for his safety.
