I don’t believe it was for not removing the Ten Commandments, I believe it was for not following a previous court order to do so.

Bill Pryor, former Alabama Attorney General, drew opposition from Senate Democrats during his confirmation to the 11th Circuit for having said Roe v. Wade was "the worst abomination in Constitutional law in history."
