Being a Supreme Court justice, an autopsy should have been performed.

Period.

Scalia was not some recluse who died in the home of his son, he was a visitor in a secluded ranch owned by a Democrat donor.

The decisions made in Texas were incredibly stupid by all concerned, whether his host, judge, coroner, the family.

We’ll be second guessing this forevermore. THANKS, SCALIA FAMILY.

Maybe, but in CT the law is you do not have to have an autopsy when you reach a certain age and you were not involved in a felony act at the time of your death. I pray and pray I make it, and my daughter knows... no autopsy! I understand he was Supreme Court justice, but maybe his wishes were the same as mine... I respect the family if they are respecting his wishes!

What if the family did not want it. What about THEIR rights to his body?

Period.

An autopsy would not cost you anything, but it would not be not a free lunch, emotionally speaking, for the family.

It is irrational, perhaps, but funeral homes make money selling expensive coffins which will “protect” the body of the deceased.

Judge not . . .

Exactly. This was a terrible decision and the exact reason why conspiracy theories are now rampant. If a President died, there would be significant study to attempt for 100% confirmation. Same with a Speaker of the House or any other high ranking official. A Supreme Court justice should be no different. Especially with the balance of power shifting because of it. I see no reason to think it wasn't natural, but I'd like to have some medical evidence to back that up.

No way was this the result of stupidity...the fix is in...we conservatives might as well get used to it, we will be sent to the camps...at best.
