Buoyed by strong voter dissatisfaction with the Republican status quo, Donald Trump holds a commanding double-digit lead over all his rivals in South Carolina, according to the latest Monmouth University survey of likely primary voters released Wednesday afternoon.
Trump earned 35 percent, followed by 19 percent for Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, 17 percent for Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, 9 percent for Ohio Gov. John Kasich, 8 percent for former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and 7 percent for Ben Carson. Just 5 percent of voters say they remain undecided among that group.
Overall, 42 percent said they are completely decided ahead of Saturday's primary, with 31 percent indicating that they have a strong preference. Just 11 percent indicated a slight preference, while 17 percent said they are undecided on their candidate.

Polls are consistent. Trump will win, and Bush is finished. Kasich on the hot seat, too. It should be considered that those two bowing out transmit at least 80% of their support to Rubio. Add that up and Rubio is in 2nd place long run. I strongly believe Rubio is vying for the VP slot.
Would make a good choice for #2
Listen to what Rubio says to La Raza and Univision. He is straight out a Traitor.
Trump is treating Rubio with kid gloves. Says something.
NOne of this probably matters now. McConnell and Obama will get their USSC appointment passed and the USSC oligarchy will in a very short time complete the Transformation of America into the Democrat Total State. The Constitution will be inessence interpreted out of existence and/or major provisions will be themselves ruled unConstitutional.
Trump knows that with Rubio in, he takes votes from Cruz, keeping Trump on top. After Super Tuesday when Trump has a good amount of delegates won, and Cruz is out, the Trump train will switch tracks and run over Rubio.
78 1/2 hours and the polls close in South Carolina. Ted needs to ramp up papa and
the other Cruzers... or so it seems unless the polls are all messed up.
Rubio is an easy mark for Trump with the Gang of 8 amnesty. He will obliterate Rubio if necessary. Now he serves a useful purpose as a vote splitter.
If only we could get the also-rans to support Cruz.
Surely they hate Trump more than each other. Cruz and Rubio together would beat him.
It’s really important that we stop this unprincipled blowhard from getting the nomination.
Trump is treating Rubio with kid gloves. Says something.

Yep says that Rubio hasn’t reached #2 yet. When Cruz is deported then Rubio
moves up and becomes the #1 attractor of Trump verbage.
Cruz is now toast in SC. Trump will clean his clock.
Trump hasn’t really gone after Rubio in a long time. I think back in the summer his campaign sent him a case of bottled water as a good-natured joke. Maybe I’m reading too much into this.
Trump is relying on Marco to split vote with Cruz. It’s working.
Agree. But he may not need to. As long as Cruz stays in thru Super Tuesday, which he will, Trump will win majority of those states. Then it shifts to more moderate states wher Trump will do well anyway. So he will pick up most of Cruz’s conservative voters and beat Rubio outright with the moderates. It’s all but over now. Trump just about had the nomination.
I don't even think Kasich is campaigning in South Carolina, is he? I thought he was in Michigan.
Last I heard, he was banking on making a last stand in the Midwest.
What he's really doing, IMO, is staying out of the SC fray, and running for VP.
