Top Talkers: The Morning Joe panel looks at the latest South Carolina and national polls, which find Donald Trump maintaining a solid lead over the Republican presidential field. In South Carolina amongst evangelicals Trump is at 42% verses Cruz at 23%.

While this may be true and Trump does pull 40+% in SC, Morning Joe has been slobbering all over Trump for weeks, months now. Tough to take what he has to say seriously with regard to Trump.
Of course. It really means nothing. He is over 40% now. When he gets over 50% it will be irrelevant too.
Even if Trump gets 100% it will be irrelevant. I get it!
Cruz bots lacks commonsense. They don’t see writing on wall. Keep repeating what is ingrained in their head by someone.
Here was Trump lower in "honesty," or "experience," or even "shares my values" but no one thought that the other candidates could change anything.
And that's what I've been saying to Cruzers, gently, for a while. This is why Trump gets such HIGH levels of "conservative" and even "very conservative." Because the perception is he can effect change, and no one else can.
Moreover, that's what suddenly turned the light on vis a vis all these "endorsements" that Cruz has piled up.
THEY ARE ACTUALLY HURTING HIM BECAUSE THEY ARE "PART OF WASHINGTON" even if it's at the state level, they are part of the status quo. So ironically, all of Cruz's endorsements may actually have been hurting him.
He won't give it up until Monday.
Even though he doesn't add up.

Give me a break. He is polling above 40% in some polls. He has been at a ceiling at 20,30 and now 40%. If you are going to play that game Cruz is finished since he cannot get above 20%.

Trump also basically said Scalia was a racist. he also blamed Conservatives for the problems in Washington. Mocked a reporter with a disability. Goes on twitter, cries, and threatens over and over to go 3rd party. If someone goes after his record, well, they’re a liars. So yes, very embarrassing.

And in spite of all this Trump now is edging towards 50%.
And yes conservatives have failed the country over the last decade.

When these people started to actually smear Sarah Palin of all people, that's when I knew they were all nuts.
According to them, Ted Cruz is the only conservative in the entire world. So I guess when he loses, they'll all commit mass suicide.
