Well, the beehives were for the society galz...whereas the long straight...remember ironing it?....hair was for the cool girls.

The guys all wanted to look like one of the Beatles, because they got all the girls. LOL!

True, and the hippies were hogging all the sex during the late Sixties.

I've never forgiven them for that.

I used to iron my hair. LOL! I have gone full circle and am back to the same hair style I had in college, long and straight.

I wasn’t one of the high society types. Long straight hair for me and I didn’t have to iron it. hee! But I had curly-haired friends who ironed theirs.

My best friend and I were the first “hippies” in our little town. We couldn’t buy bell bottoms around here so my mom made them for us.
Since we couldn’t wear pants to school in those days, we’d paint a large flower on each knee and a stem with leaves winding around our legs to our ankles.

Small-town folks freak out at something different and we kept them freaked out, loving every minute of it!
