The Senate is controlled by Republicans. Elections have consequences.

Nobody said defending this critical seat on the USSC would be a cake-walk, and the Democrat/Socialists will try every parliamentary trick in the book to force the Senate's consideration of an obama nominee.

But defending the seat is what the GOP must do -- not just to preserve the balance on the Court, but to defend -- literally to protect and to preserve the Constitution from the mischief the Democrat/Socialist want to inflict on our Republic.

There is no alternative course of action ... nor is there any need for an "alternative" course of action.

The democrats would love to force a vote because it would be a disaster for GOP in November.

The “Democrats” won’t have to. There are way more than enough turncoat republicans to get the job done.

This is so simple, how can anyone make it so complicated?

Even if the dims place their motion to discharge, McConnell will have no difficulty beating it back. Simply take that vote.

If the Republicans can't withstand even this low-pressure tactic, we'll have to abandon the voting process nationwide.

It's up to Sen. Grassley to consider the nominee in the Judiciary Committee. He's a rock-ribbed conservative, so I wouldn't expect him to cave. But one never knows with the Quisling Party.

It would be a good time to pre-empt any move to even schedule a floor vote. Write your senator (if a Republican) and let him know that under no circumstances is he to vote to release the nominee for a floor vote (if he's on the Committee), or to confirm ANY nominee submitted by the Traitor in Chief.

Make sure they know that if they do, even if they're not up for re-election this cycle, you have a long memory. And if they are up, they should start looking for work.

As senate leader, I would hold a mandatory meeting of all Republican senators, and state the following:

1) the democrats will be coming to you with heretofore unknown knowledge of trysts, affairs, and compromising situations you have put YOURSELVES in over your life (courtesy of NSA and FBI insider info)

2) they will try to coerce your vote to advance Obama’s choice

3) if we find out that you are considering voting in the affirmation, we will collectively spend our finances to ensure that the same information is made available prior to said vote, so that the humiliation and disgrace you so richly deserve is made known prior to the vote.

In other words, you are screwed either way. Vote with us. You have the best chance at making it through unscathed.

Politics is dirty business, but this is about the life or death of our entire nation.

Choose wisely. You really have no choice.

All of this is true UNLESS the Republicans lose the Senate.

The NEW Senate will be seated on January 3 of 2017.

Obama is president until January 20 of 2017.

That gives the NEW Democrat Senate about 2 weeks to work a nuclear option.

This is why Cruz and Rubio both should stay in the Senate if they really believe this to be such a transformational judicial appointment.

We don’t need more Senate seats up for re-election. The republicans already have 24 up while the Democrats have only 10.

The odds of a change in Senate ownership are significant.
