You are in denial. Very few years ago Trump was FOR abortion on demand. Even partial birth abortion.

Now, he SAYS he’s pro-life. I do not believe that he is committed to stopping abortion.

You cannot deny that he still supports funding of Planned Parenthood.

And his reason is so lame it shows that he has not thought much about the issue or about PP.

They do not provide services not available elsewhere to poor people. They do not do mammograms. Their main industry is body parts. They do provide contraceptives but, hey, if those fail ... come on in.

When Cruz shoots himself in the foot, he empties the clip.

You’re exactly right.

Trump’s the only one that can win the general.

I read about that. Supposedly Pryor considered it was some law he had to follow.

I was grudgingly okay with Cruz as second choice until a few months ago. I really looked into his background, statements, wifey with CFR/NAU stuff, and of course his total non-eligibility and refusing to make public documents despite FOI, his weird Dominiionist religious bent that moves him, his lies, his voting for 0bamtrade before he didn’t, etcetecetc.

No way I will ever vote for him. IMHO he is a psychopath.

See the video in post 17, from Jan. 2015. Trump says “I’m pro-life”, but then when asked “So without those caveats [life of mother, rape, incest] you are against abortion?”

“It depends when, it depends when.”

Why do you refuse to believe that people of a Conservative orientation can wake up to issues, where before they simply gave lip service to what people around them were saying. If we cannot wake people up, we are done for. Trump has not only woken up; he has smashed the device that the Left has used to make people afraid to wake up--"Political correctness."

The significance can not be overlooked. Nor, if you want to focus on abortion; should the fact that fear of an actually effective way to stop abortion in most States has never been applied because the PC crowd have kept Conservatives with different priorities divided. Any time we had worked together to limit the jurisdiction of the Federal Courts in interfering with State laws on moral and social issues, abortion could have been stopped in most States. Think about it. There is plenty of blame to go around,

Ted Cruz can’t be trusted on any aspect of immigration policy or trade policy. And that’s based on his past stances and not just some desire to contradict what he now claims are his stances during the presidential primaries.

"We cannot win the coming election, without both complementary segments of the broader Conservative orientation, working together."

I'm w/ you. This campaign has gotten to bare knuckles pretty quickly and there's enough crap coming from both sides to choke a maggot.

We need to keep our powder dry and remember who the real enemy is. Here's a hint: its not ANYBODY on the GOP side.

Let us not be hasty and cut off our nose to spite our face. Scalia's passing merely reinforces the importance of this election.

Under such circumstances no FReeper should refuse to vote for the GOP regardless of the eventual nominee. To do so is absolutely unconscionable and indefensible.

The fate of the nation hangs in the balance.

HE supports continued funding for Planned Parenthood. HE has said so on Fox news when interviewed by Hannity on the past couple of months.

Trump repeated the Planned PArenthood lie that 3% of their business is abortion and talked about the wonderful things they do. No one can specify what wonderful thing PP does for women’s health.

Would YOU care to inform us. How funding PP isn’t supporting abortion.

And Trump is against illegal immigration as he is currently using illegal immigrants to work on his Washington, D.C. project? Trump loves hiring illegal immigrants.

“Is that what you want?

I want someone who is deeply committed to stopping the killing of unborn babies in this country.

It’s the main thing that has weakened the moral fiber of our society.”

If abortion is your single issue, and it must be if your last sentence means anything, you are in for a lifetime of disappointment. Best case scenario is it reverts to state level, and CA, NY among others will never completely outlaw it.

And I completely disagree it’s the “main thing that has weakened the moral fiber of our society”. Pop culture in the media is the culprit. PP getting away with selling baby parts is a by product of a society shaped by that influence.

More on point, what I say is true. Cruz helps Trump among every other demo with these attacks. And in an open primary state ? WTH is he thinking.

I think you meant Cruz lying. Changing ones position is not lying. By the way, how do you get the law changed when you mock people for coming around to your way of thinking. This is just bazarro.

I have had to unfortunately come to the conclusion, this is just about getting votes for many pro lifers. Make sure and keep this issue on the table, by making zero progress.

Irrelevant. I doubt Trump’s company builds or remodels hotels. He contracts to have them built and them operates them. And until there is general enforcement of immigration law, it’s pretty much impossible for any large business to be sure no contractors or sub-contractors are employing illegals.

Cruz just can’t be trusted on immigration and trade issues, and trying to find illegals working at some Trump project changes nothing.
