I think George W. Bush kept his mouth shut for years because he understood that the election of a jug-eared exchange student from Kenya was a thorough repudiation of him and his entire administration.

Now watch as the same people that loathed W since 2005 now embrace him as one of their favorite presidents.

Leaving office at 26% approval tells you a whole lot. Losing the house and senate in 2006 gave us Obamacare.

Amazing people defend the BUsh presidency, which gave us Obama. Not even talking about Iraq, how ab out all the Wall Street fraud and Bush’s home buying promotion-he actively promoted it. I have personally never recovered from the Bush phoney economy-Obama’s fed easy money printing was the Bush economy on steroids.

The jobs lost...the stagnant income and middle class during his reign..illegal immigration-which he did nothing about except make it worse. We saw Saturday night the few cheering who benefited from his bs economy.

I’m glad so many here can only worry about social issues and not economic ones becasue I don’t have that luxury. I know where this bs economy all started in 2002

I think he kept it shut because he realized that not only did his failure of an administration give us Obama, but he also created the whole ‘Islam is the religion of peace’ propaganda. Second only to Obama in bringing muslims into our inner sanctum of government.

George W. Bush did not defend his own stated beliefs that well when he was president. He did not fight the war of ideas. He is nothing but a over-privileged scion of a family that makes its money through its political connections. As long as the Bush family was getting its coin he didn’t feel bothered enough to defend the stated beliefs of the Republican Party and the majority of Americans.

I still remember watching on the news a how Bush orchestrated the flight of a jumbo jet full of the Saudi Royal family and the Bin Laden family flying out of the US while we were still digging for survivors under the Tein Towers ruble.

To hell with the Bush family.

Dubya also gave Hank Paulson free rein on the $700 billion bailout of Wall Street. There should have been a price paid for all that largesse, such as the forced resignations of the top management and board of directors of those financial institutions, to include the rating agencies.

Instead, they got billions, and the next Treasury Secretary was Tax Cheat Timmy.

I vigorously defended Dubya up until Nov 2006, when he embraced being a lame duck. When you leave office with an approval rating in the low 20's, that's a good indication that you effed up.
