Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont told hundreds of volunteers gathered here on Saturday that his strong showings in Iowa and New Hampshire were not flukes.
âWe surprised them in Iowa,â Mr. Sanders said to cheers. âWe surprised them in New Hampshire. We are going to surprise them here in Nevada.â
While Mr. Sanders was expected to beat Hillary Clinton in New Hampshire, his 22-percentage point margin was still a resounding victory and one he hoped gives him a tailwind heading into next Saturdayâs Democratic caucuses in Nevada.
He is hoping a win here will convince voters nationwide that he has broad appeal and can garner support from a more diverse electorate than in Iowa and New Hampshire, two predominantly white states. Mr. Sanders focused his remarks on economic inequality, campaign finance reform and Wall Street regulation, topics at the core of his candidacy.

However the majority of the delegates will go to Hillary.
I hope so. Stop the Clinton’s ASAP!
Bernie can’t win a general.
The union members in Las Vegas probably lean toward Sanders, but their bosses who are the superdelegates know what side their loaded dice are weighted on.
Maybe we’ll get to see Hillary “tahred” and feathered by other Democrats before this is over.
I’m spreading the word among the unwashed liberal masses how the Super Delegates are undemocratic. If Sanders some how gets the majority of votes, Democrats will revolt! Love it.
Well when you live here and know Dirty Harry owns the unions and the voting machines, and have seem what they did to Ron Paul, shutting down the caucus, of course.
Too many people are underestimating sanders. He absolutely can win the General election. We will have to work harder then ever to make sure it does not happen.
Exactly. I'm much more worried about Bernie than I am of Hillary.
I’m not worried at all about Red Sanders. There’s no way on earth that the DNC will let him be their nominee and even if he somehow got more votes, his former supporters would still vote for Hillary because they are SHEEP.
No, the Millennial vote will stay home.
Yeah if Bernie gets every vote in NV hellary will get more delegates-samo samo. Don’t know why dims are bothering with all the primaries-queen hellary has been anointed by the powers that be.
Well, I hope so. You must think the kids won’t appreciate their welcome to the Democrat Party.
Any state which elects a non-encumbent republican governor by double digits but somehow elects Harry Reid back into office is just statistically outside any reality without fraud. Even more so when one considers that voting machines were all serviced and handled by the SEIU.
From the polls, the Millennials do not like Hillary nor trust her and have no interest in seeing her elected.
Hillary had to give them up to Obama in 2008.
