Trump: RNC breaking pledge, calls Cruz a ‘liar’
The State ^ | February 15, 2016 | Andrew Shain

Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump said Monday that the Republican party is breaking its pledge to stay neutral while pouncing on GOP rivals who attacked him at a weekend debate.

“I have never met people like politician. They are the most dishonest people I have ever met,” the New York billionaire said during a stop at Mount Pleasant hotel on Monday. “They lie, lie, lie and then they apologize.".....

Trump suggested that the Republican National Committee was not honoring a pledge to not hurt his campaign if the businessman promised not to mount a third-party presidential run.

Trump was booed several times during the Republican presidential debate Saturday in Greenville for criticizing other candidates. Trump said the debate audience was stacked with lobbyists and big Republican donors.

“I signed a pledge,” Trump said. “But the pledge is not being honored by them. ... They are in default of their pledge.”

Trump, the winner of the New Hampshire primary last week, spent most of his speech to several hundred spectators going after U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, his closest rival in South Carolina.

He blasted Cruz for distorting his stance on the Second Amendment during the debate. Cruz has said Trump would erode gun ownership laws if elected, while Trump calls himself the biggest gun rights advocate in the race.

“I think he’s an unstable person,” Trump said of Cruz.

Trump called Cruz a “bad liar” who stole the Iowa caucus when the senator’s volunteers spread rumors about GOP candidate Ben Carson leaving the race. Cruz won while Trump finished second.

Your responses are silly. You mean candidates and presidents shouldn't have advisers.

And every day that passes Cruz proves himself to be just another slimy politician, not the highly principled conservative and the smartest lawyer who ever lived as his followers believe. He is making one false, unsupported claim after another about what Trump would or would not do, while continuing his silly and false claim that he defeated the Gang of Eight bill that passed the Senate 68-32.

It takes quite an ego and lack of integrity to make the claims Cruz has been making recently.

Public funding of abortion providers is an insult to people of conscience at the least and an affront to good governance at best.

Notice he has even flip flopped on this point.

Then finally Cruz was able at the debate to get that point out of him. Trump then just tries to turn it around and says "They (PP) do wonderful things".

There is literally NO PLACE in the nation where Planned Parenthood is value added for any of their services that do not involve abortion. Most don't even have an mammogram machine. Any baby health care clinic in America could do what they provide without the death cult pushers surrounding them.

Two flip-flops today... 3rd party run because he couldn't control the audience and now he has decided to sue Cruz over citizenship (like his supporters haven't already done it).

Just when you think the old Trump couldn't get any nuttier.

You think you are revealing Trump with these posts.

You’re just revealing yourself.

Edmond, we follow these things closely. Trump hasn’t. So for now you can take comfort in that he has said he wants to defund the abortion end of their operations. When he finds out that’s all their operations are, that bodes well for us.

If he picks Sessions or someone also up to speed, they’ll prevail upon him and I think he’ll respond favorably.

He no longer approves of across the board abortion. He isn’t going to look favorably on people performing them.

I doubt this moves you much, but it’s how I see it.

It isn’t. Do you think he uses that to decline taking action?

I don’t.

thank you for making my case. And you're right, Trump doesn't follow "these things" like the Constitution, like limited government, etc, closely. He's been running casinos and strip clubs and golf courses and reality TV shows - which is fine - but hardly the well rounded full economic know everything about everything experience you and others have assured us he has.

Edmund, it seems to me you’re trying to make Capitalist into a dirty four letter word.

Over 22,500 families have a roof over their head because Trump hired a member of their family.

None the less, you try to denigrate the man based on his business sense.

Very strange.

We need a capable CEO.
