The Senators should pledge to BLOCK any appointment.

This would be a good time to send a loud and clear message to the Senate Majority "leader" to tell Obama the Senate WILL NOT confirm a Scalia replacement until the next President is sworn in. Trump will and I hope Cruz does too!
I would hope that if we had a president we liked right now that he would be prepared to nominate someone after a decent interval. If we were only a month away from an election, that might be too short time-wise, but we’re talking a little over 8 months at this point. It’s unrealistic to expect any president to not at least try to fill such an important position as soon as possible.
