I would hope that if we had a president we liked right now that he would be prepared to nominate someone after a decent interval. If we were only a month away from an election, that might be too short time-wise, but we’re talking a little over 8 months at this point. It’s unrealistic to expect any president to not at least try to fill such an important position as soon as possible.

That said, I know old Mitch will give Obama everything he wants and the country loses BIGTIME!
