He won’t get to stack the Court if the pubbies refuse to move on his successor’s nomination. That will be the great test for our “Republican Senate.”

Right. If the Senate approves an Obama nominee, it will help validate claims that there is a "Uniparty", and no difference between Republicans and Democrats.

But if, on the other hand, Republicans freeze the nomination, it will disprove the claim that there is no difference between the parties.

The haters are out in force too. Geez, I don’t remember the last time I saw this amount of pure vile disgusting hatred for a man. True, GWB was hated by the left, but the demonic behavior I’ve seen online tonight takes the cake.

For accuracy, it was Senate Republican Majority Leader of Michigan who stopped Fortas and the nomination for Associate Justice of LBJ crony and political hack Homer (?) Thornberry of Texas. Also, I believe that Earl Warren was from the Oakland area near San Francisco not from the California southern desert town of Bakersfield. Warren was Oakland County District Attorney prior to his election as governor.

I think Obama wants to get out of town and climb on the gravy train.

Obama is too much of a narcissist to not believe that we "deserve" his rule. I don't think someone with his disposition will go quietly into the night.

Looked up the Cibolo Ranch— 30K acres down in Bend area of TX— certain to have had their own security to see the “illegals” coming— as they do, a lot- in that area. My thought was— awfully quick on the “natural causes” without a post mortem, and this would be handled first by Texas Rangers with county coroner and followed by US Marshals Service.

Coronary risk profile comes into play with cigarettes, what he had to eat night before and est. time of death, etc. Men don’t usually have one heart attack— they have recoveries and one final one. Women— creeping coronary disease and one killer heart attack if it happens.

Will reserve thoughts until confirmed cause of death. Especially because a coronary can be “induced”, and it’s real close to Mexico, and shall we say— “alien” powers and interests (like the immigration issue before SCOTUS).

I agree he loves himself. But don’t you think he would be happier simply being around his sycophants and not having any opposition.

No, a simple majority vote on confirmation is all that is required. It takes 60 votes to bring about cloture (force an actual final vote on the nomination) in the event of a filibuster (Jeff Sessions, Marco Rubio, Ted Cruz and many others are SURE to filibuster ANY attempt to confirm Obozo's nomination. OTOH, it is the Demonrats who want a vote and they don't have anything like 60 votes to invoke cloture.

Additionally, any Obozo nomination can be tied up in the Senate Judiciary Committee until Obozo leaves office or Armaggedon whichever is first to occur.

Additionally Mitchie McTurtle says that the nomination "should" not be voted on until the people have spoken in the 2016 election. Mitchie can refuse to bring up the nomination even if it clears Judiciary Committee (see behavior of Reid, Harry). Mitchie MUST at the very least keep the Senate "in session" until Obozo is gone. The SCOTUS ruled unanimously in 2014 on "recess" appointments that they are not allowed in the absence of a formal recess.

Also see the final sentence of Article II Section 3 of the constitution as to recess appointments.

......" the demonic behavior I’ve seen online ".......

I am just coming to FR after a days work and hesitated doing so for the very reason in which you stated.... Whatever one wants to call the filth and vial comments spoken aloud, in the news by pundits, across the social networks is no longer constrained as we have otherwise known it to be. It's not just about politics..it's more than that and further beyond it. Whatever one calls "it" it speaks in print and aloud with no provocation rather just to be heard and seen.... It has settled in by those who have welcomed it and willing to be used by it..

From #289:

Breitbart's coroner died of accidental arsenic poising, and Loretta Fuddy's coroner died (forget how) as well. It would take a very brave coroner to handle this case.

...G'Night all.
