So... any Jose, or Vladimir, or Mohammad, who was born outside the US, to ONE American parent, can someday come here and fill out some paperwork and be eligible to be elected President?

Much preferable to the argument that if a pregnant alien crosses the border illegally so she can give birth in a U.S. hospital (at U.S. expense) then her child is automatically a U.S. citizen who will be eligible to run for president.

It is all moot anyway. The actual text of the Constitution, the intent of its drafters, logic, common sense, precedent, and the previously accepted rules of statutory construction are all now utterly irrelevant.

The Constitution now says whatever the Hell five out of nine Supreme Court Justices currently want it to say. IMHO, this is the primary issue in the election.
