Ted Cruz alleged Marco Rubio did not want to use Congress's "constitutional authority to defund Planned Parenthood."
The National Right to Life, one of the chief arbiters of social issues in GOP politics, quickly stepped in to back Rubio and called Cruz's Friday remarks "inaccurate and misleading."
"Marco Rubio voted to defund Planned Parenthood before Ted Cruz ever got to the U.S. Senate. Since Ted Cruz joined the U.S. Senate, both he and Sen. Rubio have voted the same on every roll call that National Right to Life regards as pertinent to defunding Planned Parenthood," said Carol Tobias, president of National Right to Life.

Cruz and Rubio are fighting for crumbs. Who will be 2nd and who will be 3rd. ;-)
I believe Cruz was referring to this: http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2015/09/29/hold-for-comment-marco-rubio-skips-critical-vote-to-fund-government-avoids-voting-to-fund-planned-parenthood/
One thing is a fact, our tax dollars are still keeping planned parenthood body parts business in business.. Neither of these guys have anything about which to crow.
This is a desperate lie from Cruz. You can attack Rubio on many issues, but he’s solidly pro-life.
Very stupid move on Cruz’s part. The backlash will force another apology, which will hurt him even further.
His campaign is turning into a train wreck. Shame really, he used to be my enthusiastic second choice.
“His campaign is turning into a train wreck. Shame really, he used to be my enthusiastic second choice.”
Ditto.
He is talking about timing. When it was in the news and they had momentum, Rubio was absent for the vote.
I probably would not have chosen that line of argument, but it is not dishonest.
Week in the box.
Would that be the same NRTL that decertified its Ohio affiliate for opposing sodomite pseudo marriage?
Don’t know anything about that case, but it seems to me the whole point of a single issue group is lost when they get involved in other issues. Their clout comes from being a place for everyone who agrees on that issue. If someone is pro-life but supports same sex marriage you shouldn’t chase them away. Otherwise they end up just another conservative group preaching to the choir.
His Goldman-Saks is too big for his britches ...
What difference at this point does it make? You have come into the daily band of Trump fanatic postings where trashing Cruz even in the direct defense of GOPe Rubio to forward your vision is a-ok. Watch all day it’ll be akin to a Grateful Dead groupie session, the same cast all day long following from thread to thread no matter the validity. But you are correct it wasn’t dishonest at all and those within this thread posting otherwise prove that progressives truly do stick together. Even if it is at the support of a GOPe member. Why not though when you’re cantidate is an avowed liberal?
What difference at this point does it make?
I’m sorry is Goldman an illegal company to do business with? Has there been a vote shown Cruz cast that gave influence to Goldman? That’d be illegal if it did. No? There hasn’t? Of course not and that makes no difference. Alinsky values your patronage with inferences.
Good work
Cruz, running as the “moral” candidate, has now repeatedly done questionable, shady, and dirty. Those are not unfair or inaccurate characterizations.
Again, Rubio or Trump could follow this because they aren’t running as “God’s man.” He has a real problem because he is trying to have it both ways-—having yhe support of the Suoer-religious while engaging in politics as usual and dirty tricks. It has already hurt him.
Same sex “marriage” and right-to-life are related issues because many LGBT couples are adopting kids.
I suspect the NRTL’s position on same-sex marriage is heavily influenced by this factor as well as actual or prospective donations from affluent gays and pro-gay corporate donors.
Was Rubio present for the vote to defund Planned Parenthood or was he not? You know, the one just after the videos were released and when Congress had the momentum of public sentiment.
What is tonight’s debate going to be like? I’m wondering if Cruz lashing out at everyone is going to have a few of those remaining playing “Survivor” and decide as a group that the one they want to vote off the island is Cruz.
Subjects of the government FORCED to pay for pre-meditated, pulling apart babies for profit, makes this the most evil, totalitarian government in the history of the republic.
DEFUND
Cruz voted against the bill shocking the Pauls.
