Cruz trashes Trump on his big government leftist past and present.
Trump trashes Cruz on non issues like being Canadian, lying about Carson, etc etc.
Trump can’t attack Cruz on issues, since Trump has to pretend to be conservative for the primary.
After that, he can change back to being a leftist.

That is why conservatism has failed so much. Eligibility is something we simply ignore being it simply is inconvenient right now.

Trump is correct, he does have standing. Where us “little folk” get tossed out of court, as the leading contender for the nomination, Trump is in a position to see it through.
Will he? Of course not, it would tie him up in the courts.
But guess what happens now? Everyone stops talking about Ted Cruz’s nonsense ads claiming Trump bulldozes old ladies, and instead talks about either a) Cruz not being an NBC, or b) Donald Trump being “crazy” on Twitter.
And, well, I’m sure everyone can see who that benefits.
Love him or hate him, his ability to steer the conversation is pretty masterful.

Trump is giving Cruz the chance to be honorable. Cruz isn’t about to admit again, as he did in 2011 that he IS NOT ELIGIBLE. For Cruz, the smell of success is too much and his greed is showing.
I wish Cruz & Trump would aim fire at Clinton, Sanders & Kasich/Bush etc... I like Cruz & Trump for different reasons, and they could work together for their mutual benefit a little while longer...

I’m beginning to see how cameleon Trump is such a “master” of every deal (snicker); giving in is the only way his opponents can get him to quit incessantly whining.

Eligibility is at the core of conservatism and the constitution.
It is amazing how the hard core conservatives suspend the constitution when it suits their objectives. That is why conservatism is such a failure.

All this confusion about standing. If Trump can show he is personally affected by the lack of clarity about Cruz’s constitutional status because of his being born in Canada, Trump has standing. Of course Trump’s standing has nothing to do with attack ads but Trump simply said he has standing, not he has standing because of the attack ads. He’s saying the attack ads, etc. may trigger him to file suit. I don’t think the standing thing is confusing but Trump’s rationale may be.
The fact is, it does look like Cruz needs to settle this issue. I mean if he was the GOP nominee for President and the Court ruled he wasn’t a natural born citizen, the election could be screwed.
