Cry me a river. Sue already or shut up. There is absolutely nothing stopping Trump from suing other than his own fear of losing in court. Cruz should call his bluff and challenge Trump to sue. If Cruz is declared ineligible, so be it (saves the Republican party of the headache late in the election cycle) and if he’s declared eligible Trump is exposed as the loser whining liar that he is.

Not a fantasy at all. There’s tons of Supreme Court case law over many years against Cruz. Cruz knows it, and anybody who has read the case law against Cruz knows it.

And about the Standing Doctrine you can read about it here.

you remember wrong. There is no USSR because USA outspent the USSR on defense.

Year after year. President after president.

Until they broke.

Reagan helped, sure. But he didn’t do it alone.

Seriously!

His employees don’t know what Cruz wants or don’t have an idea.

After the big move he made to get the evangelicals, no one in his outfit has a clue this might not be wise? They don’t know that porn stars and evangelicals don’t mix?

That is a very hard sell.

Ten comments removed on the first page alone. No where near a record but fairly accurate picture of the current state of discourse on FR.

There is a genuine dispute of a material issue with the subject of constitutional natural born citizen (NBC) and Ted Cruz. It appears there is no case precedent on point with the same facts and issue of law. Both sides have strong arguments for and against valid NBC for a foreign born person but even then Cruz’s case must be reviewed based on it’s own unique facts.

Either Congress should pass a law (unlikely - they don’t do anything anymore except take your money and grease Obama’s unconstitutional skids) or Cruz should submit this to the courts tracking to SCOTUS. Cruz probably doesn’t want to because they might rule against him. Maybe Cruz thinks if he won the nomination the courts or SCOTUS wouldn’t dare rule against him. But that is gambling with America’s future - not the greatest idea.

Does over-tanning lead to psychosis?

Those courts are persuasive, not mandatory, authority as to the other states. Only a SCOTUS decision or congressional legislation would put this thing to bed.

“keep records sealed”

What records? He’s released his birth certificate, he’s released his mother’s birth certificate. At this point, either sue or get off the pot.

Dude can’t handle negative ads in a primary season without threatening to sue. But he can handle the Presidency? LOL

Precisely!

I love how Trump supporters are both legal scholars and Trump speak translators. It must be too expensive and bothersome for Trump to actually hire a professional lawyer to file suit in court and to make legal arguments on his behalf.

Trump is neither conservative nor republican. But you already knew that as you are a devout Trumpofile.

“Don’t mess with Mr. Donald.”

Or else he might use his political cronies to eminent domain your property. Got it.

Could be the incompetence of a staffer.

Many campaigns have incompetent staffers, no? Ben Carson’s for example.

Lawyers don’t have some magic hocus pocus hold about the only people knowing about the law.

Cruz needs to show his USA birth certificate! He must have something? Why has he only produced his Canadian bc and his mother’s bc? Even Obama produced more than this!
