Donald Trump has over double the voter support of any Republican White House hopeful nationwide, according to a new poll.
Over 4 in 10 Americans are backing Trump's campaign after his victory in New Hampshire's GOP primary last Tuesday, according to a Morning Consult survey released Friday.
...
Trump is also viewed favorably by over 6 in 10 of his party's voters, pollsters found. He has a 67 percent favorability rating, while Rubio takes 62 percent and Cruz 61 percent.

Actually we are, we’re getting to see nationalism/populism AND limited, smaller government views on display. I favor the latter, but I don’t think we can get there from where we are now without going through the former, first. Save the country first, then start chipping away at the leviathan.
And the overall support Percentage per the poll:
44 Trump
17 Cruz
10 Rubio
10 Carson
Whoa now, don’t make it a run away.
What’s Conservative about running for the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES as a foreign born canadian cuban?
To me, that’s quite RADICAL
There is also the fact that neocons have successfully stolen the definition of conservative. They are not conservative. Their policies have proven to be radical and ruinous and are rejected by the diminishing middle class.
Like Trumpettes, Trumpswabs, etc.
You get the point.
Here is one that Trump will never get... Ted Cruz 2016!!!
Ask both sides to back off and that would be helpful. Some of the rudest people on FR are Cruz supporters.
I agree with your sentiment, but not your remedy. Penance, shaming, flogging, excoriation, yes. Banning, no.
You are doing the same thing, there are plenty of Christians like myself who support Trump. I didn’t lose Jesus or my smarts when I started supporting Trump.
I think another thing being overlooked is the enthusiasm factor. Obviously Hillary has none. Bernie’s is okay. Trump’s is YUUUGE! Who will actually get the most people off the couch and out to the polls? I think we know the answer already.
I understand your point. But it is better that they are the ones with the monopoly on that kind of slime.
Got news for all, I'm NOT fair and balanced. I'm biased toward God, country, family, liberty and freedom and against liberalism, socialism, anarchism, wackoism, global balonyism and any other form of tyranny. Hope this helps.
This is why I hang out at FR. DU is not first and foremost "biased toward God". Neither is Reddit or Breitbart or Gawker or Hot Air or Reason or CNN or Fox or MSNBC or almost any other popular forum. FR is supposed to be "biased toward God".
It is so disappointing when I see FReepers attacking candidates or their supporters for being "too Christian". We wouldn't stand for it if they were saying a candidate was "too conservative" or "too right wing" or "to Patriotic". Why would a site that is supposedly "biased toward God" tolerate it's members posting pictures mocking Christians in prayer? Or calling Christians "snake handlers"?
As I already said, it is one thing to support a bad candidate. You (and JR) are free to do so and FR is a perfect place to debate the merits of that. It is entirely another thing to attack the other candidates for their faith in God.
ANY of the Republican candidates would be MUCH BETTER THAN HILLARY! OR THE BERN! So I wish all you Purists, trying to destroy each other rather than the Democrats who will put the final nail in the coffin of Free America, would just go away. This country needs citizens who watch the destruction, brought to you by the Democrats, and will want to TO STOP THE DESTRUCTION ASAP! KNOCK IT OFF!
Yes, you are right of course. The people who took the label of Conservative upon themselves, then went to Washington and did a bunch of decidedly un-Conservative things.
To the average Joe out there though it just means Conservatism has screwed-up and its time to try something different.
Donald Trump professes Christianity. He's not as "showy" about it but there videos showing that he engages in private prayer.
The difference that I see for example with Huckabee and even Cruz is that they seem to exploit their religion for votes. A very showy display akin to doing things that JEsus discouraged such as praying to be seen by men.
Have you forgotten to address the Cruz supporter who frequently says if someone doesn’t support Cruz they hate America and Jesus? Rudeness goes both ways.
The problem isn’t Christianity. The problem is perceived sanctimonious hyperbole.
I think that buffoon is a Yeb! hireling, stirring the pot.
My post was directed at ALL, not you in particular.
