So you haven’t noticed that Ted is presenting himself as the most Christian as well as the most consistent Conservative in the race? One could characterize that as the “most holy” in the race.

At the same time, he “forgot” to report loans from Goldman-Sacks and CitiBank that would have shown that his representations of “selling all his assets” to run for Senate were not exactly true.

Ted has apologized for bearing false witness against Ben Carson, while at the same time blaming CNN. But the fact remains, that he could have verified with the Carson campaign directly before spreading the false rumor that Carson was dropping out, himself, at a precinct where Candy Carson was actually present.

Now it is possible to see these things about Ted Cruz and not read the Bible. Apparently, it is also possible to read the Bible and not see these things about Ted Cruz.

I have been pointing out repeatedly that he is the most consistent conservative in the race because he IS. This is more than just an opinion. Look at every conservative organization that does ratings of candidates and take a look for yourself. Unless you want to rewrite what conservative means, Cruz has the consistent track record.

As far as Christian goes, I have not heard him denigrate anyone else’s faith. I have heard Trump question how an Evangelical could come out of Cuba (though it was Cruz’s father who came from Cuba), and also question Carson’s faith. I have heard Rick Santorum and Mike Huckabee criticize Cruz on his religion. I have heard Carson’s staff criticize Cruz on religion. I have not heard any attacks on Cruz’s faith by the Rubio camp.

Rubio made a really big show of his faith before Iowa and also seems to be trying to straddle the fence between protestant and Catholic. That seems to be working for him since many Catholics and some non-evangelical protestants see evangelicalism as some sort of conspiracy. Evangelical Christianity makes up the largest percentage of Christianity in this nation (based on self-identification). It’s slightly higher than the percentage who identify as Catholic. (Rubio identifies as both.)

I find it ironic that you try to justify your attacks on Cruz based on the Bible while at the same time calling him “holier than thou”. You cite things like the Carson rumor in Iowa and describe it as “bearing false witness” which it was not, and that makes your accusation “bearing false witness” by your own standard.

And this is typical of a person who is blinded by their own religious biases and self-righteous condemnation of those they perceive as doing the very things they themselves do. Christ’s enemies were very religious and knew the Bible too. And they put aside their differences to work together to murder Jesus.

A lot of supposed Bible-reading, conservative Christians on this forum have been quick to side with those who hate Cruz which includes radical, leftwing socialists and communists, the phony GOPe pretending to be conservative when it helps keep them in power but doing nothing when it really counts, Planned Parenthood which, along with NARAL give Cruz the worst possible rating (0%). But sure, go ahead and proclaim loudly how you read your Bible, how Cruz is a phony Christian, and help the hail-Satan left destroy the most pro-life and conservative candidate in the race. I wonder if your father will be proud of you.
