While Donald Trump, the GOP Establishment, and the media scramble to undermine Ted Cruz's march to the White House, Cruz's super-fantastic-third-place finish in New Hampshire suggests undecided voters are recognizing that dignity, integrity, and fearlessness are at the core of Ted Cruz's principles and leadership.
It remains an enigma, for me at least, how the Cruz campaign's decision to share CNN's breaking report -- which irrefutably questioned Carson's seriousness about winning the election minutes before the Iowa Caucus began -- turned in to Ted Cruz's "dirty trick."
In fact, the media, Donald Trump, and even Dr. Carson have done a great job burying the reality that caucuses are set up to give supporters the opportunity to persuade one another to get behind the candidate they support. Hence, the Cruz campaign's directive to share CNN's report. After each candidate's supporters make their cases, everyone lines up and the supporters are counted up in front of God and everyone else who is attending. There is no privacy to the voting.
Consequently, the real "dirty trick" is pretending that Carson's supporters were not immediately able to shoot down CNN's report along with the Cruz campaign's bogus conclusion about what it suggested. It's not like Carson supporters don't have smart phones. The entire controversy that Carson's performance might have been negatively affected is an absolute hoax. It is a "dirty trick" that is clearly being used to torpedo the proven Washington outsider, Ted Cruz.
Granted, Dr. Carson probably felt a lot like Ted Cruz did when Donald Trump tried to "steal" votes from Cruz by erroneously speculating that Cruz was not eligible to become president. Carson also probably felt a lot like Ted Cruz did when Marco Rubio tried to "steal" votes from Cruz by falsely alleging that Cruz is a fellow GOP amnesty lover -- just like Rubio still is.
However, unlike Donald Trump and Marco Rubio, Ted Cruz had the common decency to apologize and the integrity and courage to take responsibility for his staff member's erroneous conclusion concerning CNN's report.
In 87 you asserted: People who become naturalized have to go through a specific process at some point.
Are you now changing your tune?
You say he’s a naturalized citizen. I say he has to go thru some “process” to go thru one. You denied that yet quote the wong case that lists processes needed to be naturalized. So, I ask u again. When did Cruz become a naturalized citizen if he wasn’t one before? What did he do to become one?
A person born out of the jurisdiction of the United States can only become a citizen by being naturalized by authority of congress, as in the enactments conferring citizenship upon foreign-born children of citizens.
No mention of any process.
Congressional grants of citizenship are naturalization, whether a process is required or not.
Read Rogers v Bellei.
His mother was born in Delaware.
So?
You’re describing a processes again. hate to break that to you. You can keep citing case after case. But the fact remains, one needs to apply for naturalization. you keep glossing over that.
You are mistaken. You really should read Rogers v. Bellei, neither side contested that he was a naturalized citizen and the circumstances are the same as for Cruz.
Congress’s authority to naturalize does not require that a process take place, it is the grant of citizenship that is the naturalization.
In addition to those who were born in the U.S. or those who were born outside the U.S. to parents who were both citizens, or found in the U.S. with no proof of birth else where, citizenship goes to babies with one American parent who has already spent a certain number of year here.
The single parent requirement has been amended a few times, but under the law, it's been in effect between 1952 and 1986 (Cruz was born in 1970) someone must have a citizen parent who has resided in the U.S. for at least 10 years, including 5 after the age of 14, in order to be considered a natural born citizen.
Cruz's mom was born in Delaware and lived most of her life in the U.S.and gave birth to Ted in her 30's.
And walked away from New Hampshire blaming the liberal voters in the state for his loss rather than his inability to sell his conservative vision.
************************************
That’s total BS! Cruz did not blame liberal voters for anything in NH. He didn’t expect to do well in the basically secular State. It was amazing that he ended up in third.
Team Cruz was pushing the “Carson is out thing” an hour and a half after Carson had already repudiated.
***********************************
Carson’s campaign guy started it by telling CNN he was not going to NH or SC, but home to FL. ...Cruz’ team was watching CNN and CNN didn’t correct the impression they originally gave that Carson was quitting for a couple of hours. ............Stop repeating the lies.
Neither Carson nor even CNN actually stated that Carson was suspending his campaign. Nor did Carson nor CNN ever say anything about an imminent "big announcement." These were fabrications by the Ted Cruz campaign, specifically Cruz's manager who did the same exact thing in a previous campaign.
In order to have US citizenship recognized by the US government, he (or his mother) had to submit to adjudication before a qualified agent of the US government. This agent could be either the state Department, or Immigration and Naturalization (USCIS now).
If he doesn't submit to adjudication, his birth certificate proves he was born an alien of the US, and that is what he remains until proved otherwise. When proved otherwise, he will be naturalized, changed from an alien into a citizen.
From 7 FAM 1441.1 (State Department Manual), the process is the following:
f. The Form FS-240 is not a birth certificate, such as is issued by a government- authorized bureau or office of vital statistics, because consular officers are not authorized to assume a foreign local or state vital statistics function. The Form FS-240 is a consular declaration of the fact of acquisition of U.S. citizenship at birth based upon:This process need not be done by the State Department. It can also be done by USCIS (Immigration and Naturalization), or by an Article III Court.(1) The certification of, or attestation to, the facts of birth by a legally authorized local official in the place where the birth occurred;
(2) The affidavit executed by the parent(s) or legal guardian(s) or other evidence regarding the physical presence of the U.S. citizen/national parent(s), or in the case of two citizen parents, residence, necessary to transmit U.S. citizenship/noncitizen nationality to the child;
(3) Evidence of the physical relationship between the U.S. citizen and the child;
(4) Evidence of the legal relationship between the U.S. citizen and the child, such as proof of the U.S. citizen/national parent(s)'s citizenship and marriage or for births out of wedlock, legitimation in accordance with Section 309 INA (8 U.S.C. 1409) or predecessor statute, and an affidavit of parentage and financial support if the child is born out of wedlock to a U.S. citizen father;
(5) Evidence of citizenship/nationality of the U.S. citizen/national parent(s); and
(6) Consular adjudication of the child's claim to U.S. citizenship. (See 7 FAM 1100.)
he would take the actions he felt were right in accordance with the Constitution. In essence , he made himself the mirror image of Obama.
*********************************
Uh...no. “In accordance with the Constitution” meant the Supreme Court would not have to be involved in his decisions. Obama has ignored the Constitution.
Yeah like lying about Carson sending out fake voter certificates in Iowa and New Hampshire and forgetting to report big donations that became “loans” when he got caught.
The Nationality Act of 1940, Pub. L. 76-853; 54 Stat. 1137; was repealed by the McCarron-Walter Act of 1952, Pub. L. 82-414 § 403(a)(42); 66 Stat. 280.
Cruz acquired citizenship via the McCarron-Walter Act of 1952, Pub.L. 82-414 § 301(a)(7),(b); 66 Stat. 236

It's also very revealing. I'm greatfull to God for this war and His outcome. The battle is His.
