You entered a conversation where I was talking about southern evangelicals and how they were likely to vote in the GOP primaries. And those evangelicals would be mostly white.
In 2012, SC went for Gingrich, then he lost to Romney in Florida. Then, most southern states voted after Romney was considered the winner. Still, Alabama and several other states went for Santorum. I don't know that any southern state voted for Romney while the primary was still competitive.
Then, all southern states voted for Romney in the general election.
I think this year Trump will best Cruz in most all southern states, even among evangelicals because Cruz's Elmer Gantry, tent revival act will not go over well, and also, many southern evangelicals agree with Trump on immigration and one-sided trade deals.
Maybe that orients us to the southern evangelicals I was discussing initially.
And I am merely pointing out how the SE folks either voted for a MORMON or a MARXist last time.
