All of the oil exporters are fighting each other in Yemen, Libya, and Syria.
Iran and Saudi Arabia and Russia all want higher oil prices as they kill each other.
Turkey is the only player who likes lower oil prices.
None of the above suggests a united Islamic world, much less a Russia allied with all of them.
Arab. Persian. Shi’ite. Sunni. Turkmen. Russian. Christian. Oil exporter. Oil consumer.
They have so many ways to hate each other.
Putin will only ally with Muslims to his own benefit, not theirs. I'm not worried about that possibility.
