Trump Tells French Magazine, “I Always Have A Gun On Me”

This is a story which has cropped up in the past, but it's making the rounds again this month. Donald Trump gave an interview to the French magazine Valleurs Actuelles this month where he weighed in on how their nation has seen better days.

Both the country and its capital were criticized for sagging a bit in the modern era. Saying, "France isn't what it was" during his comments, Trump noted that the country might be in better shape if the citizens had the right to keep and bear arms.

For evidence, the man who the Weekly Standard just described as being in the driver's seat on the way to the nomination, cited the recent terror attacks and noted that he's always ready for action and that things might have gone differently if he'd been there.

Obviously you didn’t read the position paper. It seems pretty straightforward to me so I’m not sure which parts you’re having the most trouble with.

Perhaps after someone someone cuts the crust off your toast you can find someone to break it down to small words and short sentences for you.

The manner in which you speak already vastly discounts you as a serious discussant in any matter.

You asked for something and I provided it. Do some of your own research and and perhaps you’ll be taken a bit more seriously.

You started the snark and were replayed in kind. If you don’t want it, don’t dish it out.

Why should I obtain by force that which I can obtain by cheating?

Well he is a hell of a lot better than Ben Carson who wants to restrict gun ownership for city dwellers.

And a hell of a lot better than the candidates who want to give amnesty to gang bangers from Mexico and Latin America.

Sorry, when it comes to the 1st, 2nd or any other amendment, “hell of a lot better” doesn’t work for me. When it comes to basic constitutional freedoms, they should be non-negotiable, whether it’s Donald Trump, Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio or any other wannabe president. We’ve eroded our freedoms too much already.
