Like Donkey Kong. Ted Cruz scored a surprising third-place finish in New Hampshire in yesterday's first-in-the-nation primary, and now it looks like he's going for a knockout before South Carolina. Cruz tweeted out the campaign's latest web ad after his victory, one that takes aim at the winner, Donald Trump. The ad depicts children playing with their new "Donald Trump action figure," and says what he does most is "pretend to be a Republican"...
It's a tour de force of counter-Trump arguments. The ad manages to mention Trump's friendship with Hillary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi, and Harry Reid (and adds in a shot at Anthony Weiner, too). Bailouts and Too Big To Fail get mentioned, but it's Trump's support for eminent domain that gets most of the attention (video):

Please explain one thing government did to enrich Trump.
Thanks.
The abuse of eminent domain is a valid issue, but when you blatantly lie about it, as Cruz did in his “Trump threw a little old lady out in the street” ad, you cede the moral high ground that you could have rightfully occupied.
As I said, Cruz doesn’t want you to know the whole truth about the situation because that would have made the ad less effective with low-information voters who aren’t willing to spend a little time looking for the facts.
He’s only willing to give you part of the truth, and that’s not quite enough, especially when its mixed in with falsehoods.
That is NOT what Cruz is talking about.
Like Jonathan Gruber, he is capitalizing on the utter embarrassing ignorance (in certain areas) of the American voters
Cruz needs to convince voters why they should chose him by stating his qualifications and less on nitpicking. I liked the one with his daughters but he needs also others where he goes more into issues.
I hate it when that happens.
But it's unavoidable, occasionally
Those all serve the public good. Using eminent domain to put up a parking lot or a gambling casino is a misuse.
My favorite Cruz ad is the one that says “vote for me because I barely edged the tard out for third place in NH”. :-)
In the twitterverse, the people who really seem to like this ad are people who have decided to vote for Cruz already.
The undecided will view it as another Creepy Ted thing. I hope he runs it a thousand times, so everyone can see the creepiness of the Cruz campaign, that is becoming, legendary.
Just waiting for the China money to roll in ala ‘Obama.
I hope he runs it a thousand times too, because it shows what a leftist phony Donald Trump is, and highlights Trumps continually undignified/unpresidential demeanor by comparing his behavior to that of a child.
Go, Ted Go!
Ted Cruz 2016!!!

polls show cruz does better against hilary than trump
its on like donkey kong
A phrase to denote that its time to throw down or compete at a high level; something is about to go down. The use of the comical video game character Donkey Kong provides comic relief but the phrase itself has greater or more significance than simply its on.
I see South Carolinians starting to talk about Trump’s comments about not trusting the states with land management. They should go over big in the home state of Fort Sumter.
What is the breakdown in the previously mentioned states?
I like your use of the numbers to say it. Trump will end up making all FReepers happier with his accomplishments after 4 years than Cruz can.
Of course his campaign goals. That is what he needs to do.
He does NOT need to run for President. This isn’t easy. He is THE butt of media attacks and jokes. He did not need this in his old age. He’s not in this for money or sex or power. He had all that. It would be much easier, get him more popularity, and fun to do another season of Celebrity Apprentice.
Well, since you posted it, I kinda figured you would say that. Safe to say, Ted has your vote?
Thank you for making my point.
With clear public benefit.
Unless you're a nutcase Bugs and Bunny doofus; or think fish are more important than feeding humans.
Or unaware that oil is fungible, and an essential part of even our minimal standard of living.
Well standing up and calling out the entire corrupt Senate on that body's own carpet ranks right up there as good in my book. Outing Mr. McConnell's devious character to his own face is another good one. He knows what's wrong with Washington having been inside it's revered halls. It would be nice to hear how he is going to change that culture of corruption instead of some of the things he's "been up to". Like hanging with goof ball Glen and compass gazing.
Or vice-versa?
D'UH!
Welcome to long term politics...
